Default Solicting advices to go from 60-80.

    Hi!
Now that my RAF is going to end in 2 days, I got several teams to 60s.
    70, 4XLocky 61
    70, 4x Priests 60
    5x Shammies 61
70, 4XPally at 53, will end up at 60 from lvling or granting.

These will be granted by the above teams, since I didnt really have time to lvl them, so I will have some odd leftover at lvl 23 and 27:
    5XMages team (@ 27 now)
    5X Druids team (@ 23 now)

    Question:
I am thinking of PVE first, and I think the 70Pally + 4 Shammies team is the choice to get to 80 and grind for golds and get familiar with LK, still need to get 5 copies. This is chosen because of the all the posts I read and I still need to learn macros and ISOBXER.

Suggestion? Or should i just lvl all teams to 70 first, and then lvl my PVE pally + 4 shammies?

    Thanks!

I suggest leveling your Pally+4Shamans to 80 first because you will definitely get burnt out if you level all of them at the same time. You will learn a lot from your first team and will have enough budget and rested XP for your other teams. At least you have an escape when you're tired of leveling.

I am very interested in this thread and any advice that gets put in here, I have a couple teams in the 60-71 range and based only on my limited experience, I would second Diwa's suggestion to run one team to 80, then use the gold and heirlooms from them to level the rest afterwards.

I ran instances with my 80 Pally + 4 60 Shamans and they destroyed everything, leveling very quickly to 70. At that point, the exp per level jumps way up and they are crawling now... but the upside is after 70 they can que for random dungeons with my 80 Pally as the tank.

I'm not trying to hi-jack the thread but i would like to ask for both of us, does anyone have advice and suggestions for questing 70 to 80? So far all I can find through search and reading threads here is to run all the kill/group quests and avoid the collections, but that cuts out huge parts of the quest lines in most zones... will only doing kills/group quests get my team to level 80 with only rested exp and no heirlooms?

I'd go with a strong PvE team.
Something that will be able to do heroics.

    That will get you badges.
Ideally, take PvE gear upgrades which let you clear more heroics and faster.

Which eventually leads to BoA (account bound) heirloom items.
You are especially interested in the +10% experience chest slot item from badges.
And the +10% experience shoulder slot item from stonekeeper shards.
I went with two of each, cloth shoulders/chest (with caster stats) and leather shoulders/chest (with melee stats), figuring all subsequent teams get 20% bonus experience and even if the armor sucks the stats are relevant.

You can do badges for the shoulders too, but since you'll get shards while farming badges, I'd only spend badges on the chest heirloom item.

The two pieces of +Exp gear, is essentially giving you two free levels from both 60-70 and 70-80, and will be a free level from 80-85. That adds up very quickly.
Plus, you can use it for other teams 01-60, should you decide to level something else.

    As far as leveling goes.

    I'd quest mostly.
But instance now and then, both for the team coordination/practice, and for the change of pace/superior gear.
And run the occasional Battleground too, as that is fairly decent experience; and at 64+ or 74+ a team can contribute in the x0-x9 bracket.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I just went thru a lot of this. Here is what I did.

Leveled first team to 80. bought just enough gear to allow me to use /lfd on one shammy. geared him to the first 4 pieces, then specced him as resto. Geared the next shammy to 4. Geared 3rd shammy to 4. Then started running as a team.

Once the whole team had a few pieces I put spent the stone keepers shards on shoulders and emblems on heirloom chests. I had money saved for heirloom cold weather flying, which is good at 68.

next team will be fast. I skipped terrokar all together and just ran hellfire peninsula, zang, and nagrand with a few instances. At that point I was 68 and hit Howling fjord. Its much faster when you can fly in northrend.

On the heirlooms 80-85. I believe blues have said the exp bonus wont work. I dont recall when I read that though.

Well my two cents on once you hit 80 is to gear your tank. I just hit 80 a little over a week ago with my second team and I went straight to heroics and my real issue that slowed things down was my tank and not being able to chain pull multiple mobs. I spent the weekend doing LFD and last night got my last piece of badge gear, I went from 2500 gs to 4700 gs in about 4 days of 3 - 4 hrs a day running random heroics. Tanks and healers will both get back to back runs. Now that my tank is geared I can run a lot of the heroics with very little healing and so this gives you more of a chance to allow your healer to gear without the pressure of healing the tank.
My shammies (3 in this team) all are around 2.5k gs and they still can kill multiple mobs really fast due to chain lightning.
I also agree to level one team at a time and gear them, otherwise it will burn you out leveling all teams. Once the first team is geared and you have the BoA shoulders and chest, the teams after that can for the most part skip all collection quests in Northrend and so makes things go a lot faster.
I initially also used the PvP BoA shoulders on my second group but switched a few levels into 70 due to the better stats on the PvE shoulders, particularly if you want to run some dungeons on the way to 80.
One last point on the shards from dungeons. Something they are worth keeping for is the gladiator PvP cloaks, they have a ton of spell power, stamina etc and will give your GS a nice boost without losing much in stats (the only decent cloaks IMHO are the Frost badge ones if you already have the crafted ones). Also if you use a druid for tanking at some point, the PvP gear also has a ton of stamina which is very useful.
    All just my 2 cents

Thank you for all the inputs!
Since I still do not have LK expansion pack yet, I have no idea what are BOA and all the neat gears that were mentioned here.
I will level 70pally + 4 shammies first, and when they are higher, I will seek more advices from this community.
Still have lots to learn to MB (macros and the keymaps in ISBOXER!!!!!, Ualaa, I will probably bug you)! It was such a grind to lvl four teams, in SM. I do not want to see that instance ever again!
But on another note: I was lvling my 5 pallies (70+4 boostees, all 4Xretri specced). Was running through searing gorge and a horde druid (probably 70+, skull to mine 70pally). We killed both my pallies, but interesting thing was he had to run away from the rest of my team....IT almost died from my 3 remaining pallies...he ran!!! That was AWESOME! He ran!!!! haha... Totally worth my MB investments! I suck at PVP, IMHO. Can't wait till I am 80 and geared, MY MOTTO WILL BE: IF RED, DEATH!! I am on PVP server, by the way: US Ner'zhul.

ISBoxer is great. Its highly customizable.

I have used a lot from Ualaa's guide. The best part is you can add 1 part at a time. My last 2 adds have been action target groups and using targeted AoEs.

The only advice I have there is categorize stuff. Key maps for example. I have several sets. When I create a keymap, it may be for all my groups, it may be for a specific team. getting it in the right map helps speed up the setup for a new time.

New teams get the "base" keymap. Then I create a separate map just for items specific to that team.

will only doing kills/group quests get my team to level 80 with only rested exp and no heirlooms?
From my experience on my first team (5 shammys) I would say no. I ran out of kill quests around 74 and that was even from playing abit of BG and rested xp. Eventually you will have to do collection quests and imo you should just bite the bullet and do most of them, especially ones that chain to other quests.
