    I usually still hit the limit doing both like that.

    I'm sorry for resurrecting such an old thread but i don't understand the reason behind this?

    Surely you still hit the 5 instance limit after:

    1) Cath
    2) Armory
    3) Armory
    4) Cath
    5) Cath

    so it would be the same as doing:

    1) Cath
    2) Cath
    3) Cath
    4) Cath
    5) Cath

    Or am I missing something? Are all wings of SM classed as the same instance or something?

    Exactly

    To clear up things, you only need to reset once you've cleared both wings (cathedral, armory) then you can repeat.
