Keyclone, Need Some Help with Dual-Boxing my Warlock/Priest

Hi, I just got keyclone but I am having some issues. Probably just because I am so new to the program.

First: I can't seem to get the darn thing to work! Arg. I want to be able to have the following setup:

Press SHIFT+1 --> Presses 1 on priest
Press CONTROL+1 -- Presses SHIFT+1 on priest

Is it possible to transfer SHIFT+# or CONTROL+# keys to the clone? If so how? Whenever I try this it doesn't seem to work. Note that both the ORIGIN KEY and the TRANSFERED KEY have SHIFT or CONTROL in them? Is this ok?

Second: Slightly off topic but, does anyone know how to make it so when I Press SHIFT+1 on my main wow, it does nothing in that window? It seems that it still registers as pressing 1 on my warlock even though nothing is bound to SHIFT+1. This is obviously causing problems and skills to be cast when I don't want them to be on my main.

Third: I don't think I understand this keystring thing yet. I goto Keymap Editor, under key I press the MAINKEY that will be used while on my warlock, then under HOTSTRING I press the key I want transfered over to my priest. Is this correct? It seems to be acting strange when I do this.

I then load the map editor under my priest client. Do I need to load it under both?

Fourth: I only want the keys set in the Keymap Editor to be sent over to the other client, not ALL keys to be sent. Is there a way to make sure ONLY the keys I have set up in the editor are sent and none else?

This happens alot when you first start boxing. the problem is that you have some rancom thing bound to that key in wow key bindings. what you need to do is go inot your keybindings, or bongos if you use that, and bind a key to shift+3 and then unbind it. this will free up the key to do what you want it to. most alt/shift/crtl+ keys are bound to something ie pet bars, secondary action bars, etc and have to be unbound before you can use it. Another way to do this is scroll through your key bindings and disable the stuff that you will never use and free up these keys.

Bind shift+1 to a blank key on your lock or add " /cast [modifier:shift] " to your 1 macro.

hi perseus and welcome to the forums!

to just send the keys you want, go to keyclone/setup/do-not-pass and check the white-list. then put all the keys you want to pass between your clones in the list.

as for the keymap, it is a translation matrix. basically.. you press the key, then describe it, hit the button labelled '+'.. then save the keymap. do the save for your other configurations, changing the key but keeping the description the same...

then load the particular keymap onto each clone.
