    Default Macros while leveling

How do y'all manage your spam macros when leveling a new team, before everyone has all the spells in the typical lvl 80 /click macros? Do you start building the macro from the beginning, adding in new spells as you learn them, or mainly focus on 1-2 spells per toon while leveling, since w/ 5 toons, you don't really need to maximise all their abilities to cover the leveling content?

    Thanks

I have a mix of both....
I use the same general macros on any of my toons (drink/eat, rest stone <- [heheh how you call that in english?] , mount, party stuff, follow)

For the spamming I build stuff in as it comes trying to maximize the damage dealt. Most of the time mobs fall with onje shot anyway....

    Cheers, Jens

    It's Hearthstone for us. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hearthstone

As to the original question, I tend to use castsequences until about 60 or so when I start doing dungeons that require more than just facerolling. Once stuff actually requires some work, I move to click setups to optimize rotations.

While leveling, I usually just castsequence the few major abilities with commas thrown in to simulate cooldowns and reset=target/combat/5 as a sort of catch-all. Some work better than others.

What I did, but assuming you already knew -

I use /cast frost bolt() - that way I never have to change the spell rank at all in my macros, it will always use the highest. In general; I look up what spells I have at lvl 80 and place place holders in my hotkeys, so that I can replace them when I get them.

I generally build the click castsequence, as if I have all of the toys for the class.
But if for example (shaman) I don't receive Lava Burst until 75th, then the button where LvB will be placed is just blank.
When I get the spell it is inserted into the proper place, and I click away.

Which generally means, at lower levels I'm running along with just the fall-through spell for quite a while.
