Met the Zappys in AV the other day...

So this past weekend, I was solo on my mage (Dulcet of Silver Hand), PVPing with some guildies, which I haven't done in quite a while. AV was the daily BG, off we went. We got to mid-field, and on vent someone started laughing about someone 5-boxing shammies on the horde side, which I had to see for myself. I'd never been on the receiving end of 5 lava bursts, it was quite something. My mage has pretty good raid gear, and I wear that for BGs as being a sniper actually works pretty well in an organized group, but that means she only has about 18K hp and no resilience.

It was a long AV, alliance eventually won by running the horde out of reinforcements, so we started making a game of trying to take down the 'world boss' that was the Zappys. My guildies know I 5-box, and lately I've been bringing multi-shammies to do VOA 10 or the weekly raid quest with alt teams, so they're pretty familiar with what it looks like, but it's quite something else to be on the receiving end of that action. As a mage I kept trying to figure out how to stop 5x chain heals, but there doesn't seem to be a way! We really got a kick out of it.

On Sunday afternoon we get our arena team together to get our minimum games in for points that week. Our 2nd fight is against a multiboxing team of 4 pallies and a DK named ZOMG Skippys. It was our only win that day!

It's odd, I'm so used to 5-boxing from the driver's seat, but seeing someone else do it was pretty weird. But really I don't know why people complain when they see boxers. It's pretty different trying to fight one than a team of solo-boxers, but that just made it interesting.

So Zaps if you see a raiding-geared human mage in a BG, and she's running away from you, that just might be me

That's funny. I remember seeing a pesky mage in nearly every fight -- would have sworn his name was Xaos or something like that, so I finally set him as a focus target, then starting nuking him every time I saw him.

That was one of the roughest AVs I've ever had as I had extremely bad luck with group assignments. My 5 toons were stack between 4 different groups, so it was very hard to keep track of them, let alone the lack of stacked grounding totems and fears were eating me alive. The CCs they had going on me were insane and seemed to be coordinated pretty good.

After that AV was over, I got a level 1 hate tell saying "Must suck to pay that much money a month a lose all your bgs." I tried to reply back with, "That's the best you got? Come on. You can do better", but then he was logged off.


As far as my Skippys team, lots of teams are getting free wins against them. I find if I take the extra second and actually CC them, I tend to do a little better. I'm close to finally passing the 1500 mark on them, but I'm definitely not one of the good players with that team. After fighting Remanz quite a few times, his team truely scrares me.

Either way. Fun times.

You better warn them as I just picked up two more pieces of gear last night, so now I'm @ 3750 SP with ToW, and 1125 resilence.

Ya that probably wasn't me, I mostly tried to stay out of range, since I know what 5-boxing focus fire can do. We had 7 or 8 folks from our guild in that BG and we spent a lot of time just trying to ensure ally-side reinforcement superiority -- 'farming the world boss' was the filler

I'm not really that much of a PVPer so I don't know how likely it is we'll meet in arena again, atm we're just doing 3 matches a week to get our minimum points. It's all part of a guildy's rated BG funtimes plan, I'm just kind of along for the ride. I'll try to work in some /cheers for you tho if I see you again
