hi, long time viewer, new time poster,

im currently putting together a new computer, which ill be working on to do a few diffrent things, which would include boxing,as i always wanted to do it, and i was just woundering how much accounts could be used on this computer, with this spec. to preform to a reasnobile standard

    Gfx card: Asus GeForce 8600GT 512MB GDDR3 Silent, PCI-Express, Tv-Out/2xDVI-I/HDTV/HDCP
    cpu: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED w/fan
    mobo: Asus P5N-E SLI, nForce-650i SLI, ATX, Socket-775, GbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16
    ram: A-DATA DDR2 PC6400 4096MB CL5 Kit w/two matched DDR2 800 2048MB CL5

i will have dual monitors 28" and a 22" flat screen.

i am wanting to 5 box, and of course i will need another computer(or 2) to do this. but 5 boxing will be in the future, i just want to know how much i can start off with, with that setup.

    thanks very much, and

    Hi,

To me it looks like it should be able to 5-box just fine. Quad core with 4GB and a decent graphics card.

If you go for an 8800GT instead of the 8600, you'll be able to 5 box on that one computer.

I HIGHLY suggest that you shop around when buying the parts. I am building that exact same computer almost, and just bought all the parts. Feel free to IM me on AOL at LrB147 to chat about prices.

well im from ireland, so i use diffrent sites to but parts ect, i shoped around online, and i found the cheapest of the lot to come to around 5650 euro.

ya i was ghoing for the 8800GT but that would boast the coast up around 300 extra euro, so decided to go for the 8600+

Hey man just want to say welcome to the forums. Your setup seems fine, but like I say to others make sure you have a good Power Supply with enough wattage. Recommended for good graphics cards are 700watts

If you can get it where you are, check out the Cooler Master 690 case. It's a little big, but the cooling is amazing. Comes with three 120mm fans (one in front that sucks in, one in back that blows out, and one on side that blows in. Also, the PSU mounts on the bottom, and if using a PSU that has a large fan on the top/bottom, the PSU vents out of the case thru a slotted opening. Also spots to mount 5 more 120mm fans inside if needed.
here it is from an American based website:
