H:UP and H:HoL down

I finally tried my hand at using the Random Dungeon finder this morning to test my luck at the Heroics to try and gather some Frost Emblems. First run was H:UP, wiped twice, once on the third boss, and once on last boss, but managed to get it down and get my first two Frosts to start my collection. Too boot, this was my second attempt on the place, first was Regular mode, but wiped on the third boss and hadn't been back since. DPS couldn't stay alive cause of the Whirlwind attack, and the frost from the dragon wiped me the first time. Two of my dps died on the second try and was just my tank, one dps and healer. Second wipe was on the last boss due to his AoE attacks. That was a pain. DPS was slaughtered there too by the time I got him down to 25%, then it was just me and the healer. Walked out with some shards and a ring upgrade and this:






After that I tried out another one since I still had time to kill and next Heroic was Halls of Lightning. This was my first time even stepping foot in this place and had not clue on the bosses. To my surprise, we only wiped once and that was on Volkhan. His thunderstomp wooped my ass both times and wiped my team out the first time, and only the dps out the second time. I have DBM on, but couldn't get them away in time. Still got'em and this achievements which I thought was cool for a N00b here. Luckily the healer had experience with this place and edjumicated me here Enjoy the screenshots








After all this and a few Emblems already collected, I finally got enough to get my first ilvl 245 gear. Got my team these: www.wowhead.com/?item=Libram of Defiance for my tank and www.wowhead.com/?item=Libram of Valiance for my Rets. As of right now, even with these two items, my Prot's gScore hasn't even topped 3200 and Rets haven't topped 3100 yet.

FYI ((as it looks like your running tank+3xrets+tree)) I'm not sure how your dealing with AOE attacks currently but one option is to park your healer at a distance ((or just drive as the healer during the battle)) and have a macro on your melee dps to follow the healer to excape the AOEs and IWT to get them back in range when needed

Thanks guys. I'm actually not running the healer. I'm only running the 4 Pallies, I've just been pugging the healer. I may change one of my Rets up to dual spec as a healer and park'em. I'm thinking about using my main Pally to grind boost 3 shaman up to swap out for instance runs, but right now I'm enjoying this team still. That plus, I'd rather run a 4xShammy team and PuG the tank instead.
