Default FTL Problem - Char change = fail

hmm i am have a problem with my FLT setup now...

i lvl my 3 shamans to 80. Thing is, i already had a well geared 80 shaman on the same account, So i decided to change out my just hit 80 shaman with my full furoius shaman. here are my char names

    Lowerquality - leader shitty gear
Lowstquality - old shaman that got cutt
Nooquality - just hit 80 still using
Noquality - New shaman that is replacing lowst.

Okay, here is my problem. I use the same keymap i had for Lowst on Noquality ... then i changed all the macros on the other chars to replace lowst with Noquality.... and its all good. They follow and attack his target well , perfect actually. There is 1 prob tho...

My new shaman, Noquality, will not work on Lowerqualitys screen.

    /target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,target=Lowerquality] [mod:ctrl,mod:alt,target=Nooquality]
    /follow
    /cleartarget

this macro, when i log onto lowstquality on the same account, the macro works perfect, but for some reason it will not work on a diff char on same account.... it sends the key to the window... but it just wont follow that 1 char, or assist or attack or anything. It will assist my 3rd account Nooquality just perfect...

I have no idea why im having this problem.... i mean, its not that big of a deal i guess not being able to use one as the leader but i want to get this working. I cant get why it will not target lowerquality with the mods :|

    Using keyclone

Errr tried to make sure the keybinds in my game were not interfering but i dont see anything that would mess up Ctrl or shift..

Ensure you don't have alt, ctrl, shift (or any combination of these) bound in game on the keys which your FTL Assist uses.

Beyond that, you can try to delete the macro and retype it from scratch.
I've had situations where a copy/paste fails to work, but deleting it and re-pasting and it will work fine.
Not sure if there is a temporary bug in the blizzard macro system or what else will explain that.

I could not get the keystrings to work with keyclone, so might not be the best to trouble shoot with you.
However, if it worked properly in all combinations with the original toon, but not with the new toon, then its not the set up of the FTL.

i didnt have to copy and paste... cause the macros are in the general tab so its the 100% same macro i use on both toons. and i made sure i took all my shift + alt combos off my keybinds. i just ditched my new guy and just gona use the just hit 80 toon. gonna have an extra shaman i guess hehe.

i just found it odd it would work with 1 of the toons, and not the other. But there was nothing in my keybinds that used the combo Shift + ctrl [];',./ (are my keymaps ) or shift + [];',./ or ctrl [];',./ so i could not figure it out

Can you copy and paste your macros directly and place them in [ CODE] [ /CODE] tags. When you were replacing the names it's possible something got messed up. Check for appended spaces, and make sure there is a carriage return at the end of each line, even though they should work it's possible the macro is wrapping in the window giving the illusion it has a new line when in fact it does not.

Also what program are you using for sending keystrokes. If it's HKN I can help you with some of the common problems I've run into. The other programs have their share of knowledgeable people that should be able to help with them, we just need as much info as possible to narrow down the problem.

Also remember not all keys work with all of the modifiers, though the keys you listed should work just fine.

And just for reference the follow macro only has to have the following:

    /follow [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,target=Lowerquality] [mod:ctrl,mod:alt,nomod:shift,target=Nooquality]

and you should add the nomod sections which you omitted in your macros, otherwise there may be conflicts if you add or change chars.

You can shorten this as well if you start approaching the character limit:

    /follow [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt,@Lowerquality] [mod:ctrl,mod:alt,nomod:shift,@Nooquality]
