The best spaghetti ever

Some might have noticed my whining about ick in PoS heroic over the last couple of weeks, both in this forum (here and here) and over instant messaging. Been on the edge of insanity, starting to understand what nerdrage was I already gave up on this guy. Stubborn as I am i refused to do a pug before i've boxed it myself. With the "i'll complete it when i outgear it in my shiny cataclysm epics at lvl 85'-scenario in my mind', i've just been farming the forgemaster for my last dagger recently, gating back as soon as he was down.

Now i consider myself nor the worst nor the best player. Pretty happy with my progress as a player and as a boxer after a good 4 months of WoW. But having to read that everyone can do this fight except me ... that was just frustrating.

So last night i went after my last dagger, it didn't drop and was gonna make some spaghetti. While waiting for my water hitting the boiling point, i decided what the heck, lets get pwnd by ick again. And guess what ...

... 1 minute and 34 seconds later he was down. My water didn't even got the time to start boiling.



Weeks of frustration, caused by numerous wiped and a bazillion of repair bills were bundled in a big 'yahoooooooooooo'. Never imagined I would do that. I guess my neighbours still think i had a hot chick in my bed last night.

Of course now that i have a working strategy this fight is gonna be rather trivial. I can't imagine how dumb and blind I was during the last weeks

I don't have to tell you that my spaghetti afterwards was the best i ever had! When i came back i found my guys dead of course as the trash had respawned. But the corpse run back was the most smiling ever. Went back to dalaran to do something else and a few hours later:

Up to the scourgelord. Had to work my way through the entrance trash again, but since they drop the hilts i don't mind doing that. Took 2 wipes on the first trash pack on the mountain before reading up on their abilities. And from there it was just eazymode. Got the tunnel achievement and finally completed this bloody instance.



While i know it's not the most spectacular thing for seasoned boxers, thought i'd share it as a thank you for those who have provided tips and cared to explain me their tactics.

I'm this way with the second boss on VH. Still not geared well enough to take him down and my slaves stay in those spheres he casts when I try to kite him around. Done lost count at how many time's I've wiped on him on Heroic. Took him down on normal mode on my first tho. His day is coming. Grats on your short lived victory anyway. This all made me want to break out my Guns N Roses album, The Great Spaghetti Incident

congrats! This was the encounter I was happiest to beat out of the new 5mans (after it had farmed me red a few times)

Haha, i actually hope i'll never have to post something similar again, meaning that i beat them a bit faster .
Fun thing, once i figured out what works for me i haven't had any issues there. Of course it remains an instance where you have to watch out what you do, even against the trash. Still need the tanking sword and 2 caster trinkets from the last boss. So might have that on farm for a few more days. Doubt i'll go back there any soon when that is finished
