Default Death's Embrace OOORRR Molten Skin

    Dear community,

Its been some time again so its time for your opinions!

I am currently leveling a warlock team and I cannot choose between 2 talents:

Death's Embrace: Increases the amount drained by your Drain Life by 30% while your health is at or below 20% health, and increases the damage done by your Shadow spells by 12% when your target is at or below 35% health.

    or

Molten Skin: Reduces all damage taken by 6%.

This team is made ONLY for PvP. The 6% damage reducer is very nice for PvP...but so is Death's Embrace for some more damage on targets below 35%.

    So....What is your opinion?

    Junglelove,

    molten skin.

with a drain spec, you will get more HP from the lack of HP you are losing than the small amount you will get if you drop below 35% anyway.

Also, unless you are being AoE'd, you will almost never be able to sue the healing buff on all your toons, while your dmg reduction will always work. I think its a no-brainer to me.

The extra dmg on targets so low shouldnt make a difference either, as once that low, death should be easy and quick anyway.

I guess my post disappeared, but yes... molten skin by far

The thing most people don't realize (which makes it crappy even for single locks) is that Death's Embrace only works if you start the channeling below 20%/35% hp. You have to reapply DOTs below 35% and START channeling below 20%hp... and I can assure you - with 4/5 locks if a target hits 35% they will be dead with the next tick.

My warlocks have over 2900 spellpower and UA+Cor ticks for at least 50% of every targets HP (over 22k per tick).

Kind regards for both of your opinions.

In the light of these opinions I will present my "perfect" talent build for PvP Warlocks:

Here is my warlock team you can check their specs. They have a 2v2 affliction and a multibox affliction spec, both are very similar.

Although molten skin is a great talent, the prerequisite Tier 1 destro talent is completely wasted for multibox locks in PVP (you don't use shadowbolt, and you don't micromanage shadow trance procs either). Because of this I still think the cookie cutter 54/17/0 spec is the best (master summoner is pretty standard for any pvp lock). Check them out and play around, warlocks are a blast so try everything - this is just my advice from 1+ year of boxin them.
