    The English/French thing is kind of funny, when you consider that they are both the official languages of Canada.

    Quite a few in Montreal in particular are bilingual. Outside of Quebec, aside from the odd few people who were in French Immersion, not a whole lot of people speak French. In Vancouver, there are more Chinese/East Indian speaking people then French, although English is again the predominant language.
