    Red face Multiboxing Stress

    Hi

During the last period one question is coming out of my mind, is still there a reason for multiboxing?

I started some month ago mainly for the reason i can't get in Heroics doing PUG.
My guild was really lazy and as DPS Warrior no way the get a spot in any PUG
After a lot of frustration i moved to boxing.

This was before the random system, after this a new world come out in front of my eyes...

Now my crappy DPS warrior has a full T9 set and also a Shaman, Hunter, Warlock, Paladin.

My priest will be soon at the same point so i will be ready for my nice team:

    Tank
    Paladin
    Healer
    Priest
    DPS
    Shaman,Hunter,Warlock

    (Warrior bye bye)

After this i realized one thing, do i still need boxing?

I can't find a reason for this, i don't need Heroics farming for triumph badges.
For the frost i can Pug the first daily so after 6 month i will be full of it...

With boxing i can avoid afk people, ninja's and stuff like that but i don't see other reasons.

About raid boxing i can't even imagine how hard can be Thaddius or others bad guys like him...

So please give some suggestion, i loved boxing, but i'm loosing my heart..

    Ty

We can't answer why you would want to continue multiboxing, only you can. If you don't see any reason to do instances, try pvp or arena, or bring up a new team. If you still don't see a reason, then don't do it. It's not like the accounts vanish into the nether, you can always restart them later.

Excactly. Theres so many different reasons why people multibox.

I do agree that it's very easy to get into heroics/normal instances now with the dungeon system. In one way I think its sad - because now I can stay in dalaran and never leave and still go into instances etc.
The good part is, I can now get a lot more instance running instead of having to fly to the instance I want to do.....

Even though I meet a lot of different people in the random dungeons, we still barely chat. It's often only a hello and then we go straight at it.

If you're getting bored of your team because you can't find any more appealing content to do, maybe you could consider starting a new team from scratch ? Playing a completely different team (different assortment of classes) can be a fun challenge. At least if you enjoy the leveling part of the game course

Plain and simple to me, I box so I can avoid people when doing 5 man instances. Even with the new system, you still can run across idiots who mess up a run. When you box, you control everything. The loot, the pull speed, burn order, afkness, etc. To me there is nothing like being able to hop into an instance anytime I want, take a break during it when I want, and end it when I want. Get hungry during an instance, no problem! Someone at the door, no problem! Significant other need something, no problem!

New LFG system or not, you are still getting paired with the same people from before. It did not change the people you would be running those instances with. So until they can do this, any group outside of friends/guild/boxing will always have that question about how good the group members are.

I started Mulitboxing around the same time as the OP and I have been thinking the same thing. I have my main team in full t9 all pretty much around 5k GS and my Hunter and Mage alts are pretty close behind. I have over 30k gold in my bank and all the accounts and the shoulders and chest heirloom items plus a few weapons.
Now what I am doing is leveling a new team, the toons were sitting at early 60s for nearly a year. This team is now at 75 and I am looking forward to hitting heroics again at 80.
My last goal is to level a horde team from scratch to experience that content before Cataclysm.
All in all I have lots planned but I do get the feeling from time to time that I could easily just single box or even triple box and it is only when I am leveling that I really love the fact that I can walk into any area with my team and not have to worry about getting a bad pull and dying, instead a lot of times (Wintergard Keep is a prime example) I pull as many mobs as I can find just simply for the extra XP.

If all you're looking for is gear and progression, you can probably get by single boxing. Personally, I just get too much out of multiboxing to give it up, from gauranteed loot distribution, to multiple crafts, to being able to solo the weekly.

If there's nothing you like about boxing any more, don't do it. Simple as that. It not like there is any shame in playing just one character. Personally, I use my boxing experience to enhance what I can pull off with just one. Just do what you want to do.

Initially I went to 5 boxing because of the long wait times to find a group and at times even when there a group formed someone dropped or all the loot annoyances.
When the new lfg went live I seriously though about dropping 4 accounts but there are just so many benefits to multiboxing I never dropped my other accounts.
