    Default 2 -> 5 Boxing..

    So, I decided to go from a 2boxer to a 5boxer, Going DK Tank/Ele/Ele/Ele/Resto..

    I have a few questions

Is it any Different from 2boxing?

What problems will i run into?

With Keyclone going through every WoW, Doesn't the healer go OOM Fast with dps spamming spells / tank spells to hold agro etc?

    Thanks

matae first of all im goin to say go for it five boxing is amazing i would love to bump it up to 10 boxing now i got 10 level 80s (4 are actually 79 for the lower pvp bracket fun).

but the question about the heals is over come with more clever macros, half the fun of boxing is working things out for yourself.

the main prob you might have is your computer might not handle 5 accounts at the same time, would defently check this out before hand.

also the mana thing some healers can just spam heals and never go oom when they outgear the content

I used to get bored and make trials before this Battle.net stuff, and 5box trials to 20 - I'm 90% sure I can handle 5boxing at 80 content.

I already have all the keys in hand for my 3 new accounts - but i lost my damn authenticator and now im on the phone with blizz D=

Identifying more spells and keys is the different, where the dual-boxer usually has a grind / heal macro and thats about it for the slave.

I would either go Tank + 4x Elemental...
    Or Tank + 3x Elemental + 1x Something else.

3x Elemental can cover heals easily.
You don't need the warlock/druid in the mix for the 13% spell power boost, with the DK tank already.
But more diversity doesn't hurt either.

I might go DK + 3x Elemental + 1x Resto Druid or Disc Priest.
Either is a strong AoE healer, gets you useful buffs, and can main heal well.

Then again 4x Elemental (don't need a dedicated healer), can dish out more dps then 3x Elemental + 1x Any Healer, and will not have any issues with heals.
If you want to dual-spec one Resto, for harder content when you're starting, that's an option.

My group of 1x Prot Pally, 1x Demo Warlock, 3x Elem. Shaman...
Has zero issues healing any 5-man content.
I cannot imagine 4x Elemental to have any issue.
I pretty much have 3x Lesser Healing Wave = Complete Heal, or close enough... and 3x Chain Heal, which I don't use as often.

    Going from two to five.

Chances are, you play Tank + Healer (slave) currently.
Adding 3x DPS, is a lot more going on initially, but it gets easy pretty quickly.
Watching Youtube videos of an encounter gives a good idea of how it is boxed.

You'll want to look into click castsequences, for the DPS.
I'd probably have the DK go Unholy, both for the 13% spell power boost, and so you can use Stealthy's Unholy click tanking macro.
The more things you can automate the better.

Ideally, you will park your slaves, drop the totems, pull with the tank, mash a single key for Tanking + DPS.
Hit some keys for heals as necessary (or mouse heal if you run HKN for mouse broadcasting in conjunction with Keyclone, or move to IS Boxer).
And pretty much turn/move mobs with the tank, or move the slaves out of nasty crap on the ground.

You'll be able to include Frost Resistance, Nature Resistance and Fire Resistance totems, along with Grounding and Cleansing, which helps enormously in certain encounters.
Also 4x Healing Stream (or 3x Healing, 1x Mana) is pretty amazing support heals.
If you glyph Fire Elementals, that's fairly amazing AoE power, every 5 minutes.

I'd probably go with Recruit a Friend.

You have two accounts A and B.
Let's say your Tank is on A, and your healer is on B.

    Link them like this:
    A -- C -- D
    B -- E

That way, you can boost with the tank on A.
And C/D will both still get RAF, because of their link.
While B/E will get RAF from their link.
And you'll still be able to level 5x toons, if you want to go from scratch without boosting.

If you boost 4 toons, the granted levels which C can give to A, based on the levels granted to C from D (ie, cascading granted levels) will add up to a full toon.

If A were to boost 4 toons on CD/BE.
C/E would each grant two toons to A/B.
D would grant two toons to C.
And A would get an extra toon from C, because of the levels D gave to C.
    Which gets you:
    A) Initial Tank + 3 Toons (from granted levels).
B/C) Four Boosted Toons + 2 Toons (from granted levels).
    D/E) Four Boosted Toons.

I initially tried a DK tank with my first 5 man team and after a few days I dropped in a pally and it makes a HUGE difference. DKs are a lot harder to tank with and take a lot more damage than a pally. For starting off 5 boxing I would use a pally, maybe coming back to the DK when your whole team is better geared and the healer is better able to heal the DK.
    Just my 2 cents
