Altoholic across accounts?

Hey, I setup Altoholic and tried to get it setup for all my accounts, but when I added them, set them up to share information and things it didn't work and i still cant see other toons from other accounts.

What I want, is to be able to see each of my teams separately so I can see where each of them is by classes, so on one sheet see how many badges my shaman team has say, or my warlocks, or hunters or whatever. is this possible? even if they all show at the same time and i have to scroll around, but can I place them next to each other there?

not sure what you meant by "setup to share information" but you have to actually use the send button or request the transfer between accounts - it takes a while (as it's using the in game messaging) - you want to login on all your chars on all the accounts before you share - typically I only share from slave -> master

Also you need to set it to show all accounts, in the drop down menu at the top.

Make sure you select the content you want to share, the default is none, it's in the options right under account sharing.
I don't think there's a way to see emblems, etc. for all accounts at once, but you can see all of the "currencies" for each account together. Character tab, currency icon on lower left, then you can click the drop down menu for different accounts.

did you link the Accounts with symlinks so that they effectively all use the same WTF folder ?
--> drawback, the last one writing it when you log, wins and overwrites all other changes. I had that for addons like Bank items...

use seperate WTF accounts per account, but then you don't see the content of the other accounts
--> thats probably what you have right now.

I solved it for me by making a mix of both.

I have two game client install directories:
In my main client directory I linked all accounts together.
in my alts client directory I have all accounts separate.

with a simple .bat file I copy some of the more interesting save files to all of the alt clients WTF/accountname... folders.
To update the "master" I log my accounts I want to update on the main client.

I'm trying to use this addon as well, i run 5 wow's from the same WTF folder. And i can't get account sharing to work.

What steps exactly do you have to take to get it to work? i shared the data and requested it a dozen times now.

I got it to work.

config on the slaves:
- You need to add the "master" to the client accounts as being allowed
- you need to allow the content to be shared on the slaves.

on the master:

then request shareing on slave account 1. You need to specify an accountname!! (can be whatever)

request shareing. you get then an INDEX. there you need to specify what you want to import into the masters database. (or use the plus and the marker in the top row to mark all (press the red plus button again so see if everything is checked)

after you specify what you want to get press the get button again and it starts transfering.

When you have it once you can right click on the account and request from the same toon again.

easy cake.

(sometimes the interface gets messed up just /rl and it is fine again)

I guess i'm just retarded or the addon bugs out. spent more then an hour now getting this to work and it still doesn't. It's a shame really. Since with KTQ you can tell it to make enough glyphs to have a total of 5 for example from every glyph. But if i can't get Altoholic to share the data, i can't use 3 Glyphbankers on 3 different accounts anymore.

Not sure if you got this to work or not, but you also need to select what you want to share.
So under Altoholic options, go to

Account Sharing -- enabled, add your toon, etc.
Shared content -- select all
Shared content starts with nothing selected, so when you request info, you won't get anything on the index.
