a few questions
first of, sorry if this is repetitive.. but im pretty sure my hp laptop with vista can handle 5 toons?
laptop specs:
intel core 2 duo processor 2.13GHz
4GB RAM
64-bit OS
nvidia geforce 9600M GT
and so i tried running WoW with keycore (5 toons) set up to http://www.solidice.com/keyclone/kc_wow_stepbystep.html guide.
it lagged terribly bad.. i was getting 2 fps logged onto 1 toon while the other games were only on the login page
so, i tried logging into WoW with only 1 version of WoW running, and it still lagged. I checked to see if it was my addons, but it wasn't.
it might have been when i tried to change my binary affinities(?) to spread em out evenly over the 2 processors i have.. but this was due to following some video guide i can't find anymore
and the place i put in the code was my WTF folder -> config file. i tried finding the command i put and hopefully deleted the one i thought was the command i put... this weird lag hasn't fixed.
anyone have any idea why?
thanks.

I have run 5 copies on a quad core (2.4 Ghz) with 6GB ram, it was laggy. It runs well with 8GB. I have a friend that 5 boxes with a dual core (3.6 Ghz) with 12 GB ram and it works well for him. I would say that you should at LEAST upgrade your RAM before trying to 5 box on that machine. At the current prices for desktop RAM I wouldn't have less than 12G, and probably 16G with a slower dual-core, laptops are a totally different price monster though.

delete/rename your wtf folder.
set the details to lowest, you might be able to 5box on this machine till the end of bc. after that it might work, but bigger areas will surely lag.
