Guildname

I don't like the guildname <Gimp> :X

There was a short convo about the guildname a while ago, so i was wondering what others think about it. I'm well aware about the fact that we have dozens of players who haven't been online for a month, so it'll take some work to get everything transfered to a new guild. But i'll happily invest that time for a name which has something to do with boxing.
Like Multiplicity, Legion of boom, doubleteam, Rent a Friend or Friends for sale.

I agree that the guild name isnt the best : / infact i have had the piss taken out of me by friends for flying <Gimp> above my head, i'm not sure what it meens to the person who named the guild but to me and everyone i no it isnt a good meaning....sorry if this offends anyone but thats just how it is unfortunatly
So i'd be up for whatever is to be done

From time to time, ppl complain about our name. its understandable i guess... think it will be hard to get a name that all are happy with.. that beeing said, please try if its important to u =)

Rubhen/Gorgorotha (the other guild master), and me had a talk about the guild name earlier. After talking a bit back and forth, we landed on sticking to Gimp, even tho some didnt like it. We found that the ppl in the guild, and the community we have is what matters, not whats under our name. Besides, guilds come and go "all the time", and for me atleast it is some feelings in it, since we where 3 years old 1/3-10 hehe =) I am the 3 guild master here, and some of the founding members are still in here -i think its nice =) Personally i have got some irl friends in Gimp aswell, love it =)

When it comes to Gimp and what it means, i guess most ppl will read it differently. The meaning as it has been from day 1, for me, is that we are a bunch of ppl that dont take ourself that seriously. Some of the things i find sad ingame, is that some ppl care mostly about themself/gear/"status"/beein imba:P/win/etc. Gimp is everything but that... No, we are not gimp for real, but we are here to have fun with others, and we care more about ppl than gear, also we have a higher irl age than other guilds -its a win ...well, thats my short toughts about the subject, im happy we can play together anyway, and if most ppl want another name, i suggest we keep Gorgorothas alt guild called "is multiboxing". He has a break atm tho, so hold your horses

TBH reading through what you said woko makes me feel stupid that i have something against the name Gimp, as your explenation as to why its called that and the fact its been there for 3 years makes me agree in wanting to stay as <Gimp> but i still cant help thinking that people will be taking the mick out of it and thats what i dont like.
But i dont box for anyone but myself, i couldnt care less if im not IMBA have mad status etc i just want to have some fun so i think i'd be happy to stay as we are if everyone else would be i wont be leaving due to a name thats for sure :P
I have my own guild aswell anyway <No Cure>

Omg grats with 80 Angel, nice job ! I just had a chat with Recrea/Eloxy, the new guy thats tranfering to us, and he wanna join some pvp raids, so lets make a IF party as soon as his chars are here xD ...i just bought dualspec for all my shamans, make it a bit easyer to swich to pvp and make raids =)

The first thing that comes to my mind is the defenition of gimp and well, that's not something i'd like under my charname. >.<

I asumed that the name had a thought behind it, but i would still enjoy a name like <Rent A Friend> a lot more, eventhough it's meaningless and just amusing.

I think that the guild name should go to a vote between the people who feel comfortable with the name already and the people who dont like it and would rather have something else. as i can definately see ware littleburst is coming from as i thought it a weird name myself but i can also see ware woko is coming from being named as it was from day 1 and still being here 3 years later, i on the other hand now sit on the fence as im happy whatever happens unless you change it to something like <Angeldeelite takes it in the ars...> ofc ;P
