Default Gladius and Arena Target Order

Are the targets within the gladius frame ordered to the arena targets from top to bottom?

ie,say gladius displays the following team:

    Jim
    bob
    joe
    jimmy
    jay

    now using this macro:

    /cast [@arena4] strangulate

Should the expected result there be that jimmy gets strangulated?

Sadly this is a bit tough to test properly without getting a skirmish to pop or risking a loss in a real match

You do not need Gladius to do this. As far as i know, Blizzard implemented this in the game. And conserning your example, as far as i understand this system, yes jimmy will be strangulated.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Right, the arena1 arena2 etc targets are *built it* to the game. My concern is that I want to be able to make decisions about who to cast spells on based on the order of gladius. Say Jimmy in my example is a holypal a and I want to stragulate him, however all I know about him is that he is the 2nd from the bottom in the gladius list. Does that make him arena4 target?

I think you answered your own question good sir

Well, my question is: does the order of Gladius units within the gladius addon match the order of the blizzard arena target ids? Currently I have no idea if it does or not, I would hope and assume it does as I stated in my example scenario above but i'm just guessing

Another Question: Does Gladius replace the normal enemy group listing in the arena? If no, is this the same?

No, I have both gladius and blizz arena frames up. Recently, I have been playing with just the default arena frames because sometimes gladius bugs out on me.

I currently play with the "target=arena1 and so on" it works very well and you can use this to gib a rogue very easily as you do not have to target anything to kill all the arena targets.
The problem with this is that sometimes depending on your toons spacing or location when the gates open you may or may not get the same arena target order for each toon.
If that happens your toons will not target the same arena targets. So you will still need a focus setup.

I tested this very thing, the gladius list matched the blizz arena list everytime. However, like stated above the lists on one toon did not always match the list on everyone else. I found that having gladius up seemed to make them match a good percentage of the time, while not having it active gave a better percentage of them being off. Perhaps the frame creation/char discovery annoucement in gladius helped create them in a similar order.
Then again I used a fairly small pool of games to test with, only about 40 matches, so my findings may have inconsistencies that do not exist in the long run.

Damn, no wonder I don't always get my CC off on 4 guys when they are right in front of me. So arena1 and arena2 might mean the same guy for two of my paladins.
