Decided to somewhat change the topic title to a more appropriate one
Small update to my current status:
I've decided to let go of the whole Hunter idea and took a Shaman/Warrior instead. The idea would be to have the Warrior as a main while using the Shaman for the obvious reasons (Windfury, heals, ...).
It seems I just can't get the alt char to fully work as intended. Since I'm using the mouse to navigate coupled to excessive use of Charge, the Shaman automatically stops and switches to combat. Kind of frustrating to see the Shaman do what the Hunter is supposed to do whereas the Hunter does what the Shaman should do.
It seems that the only way to fix it would be to have my Warrior pull the target back a bit into range of the Shaman. Is there an easier way to fix this? I tried combining both the /follow and /assist macros into a single macro, but still the follow command automatically leaves a gap, putting the Shaman out of reach.
After some more testing I do notice that activating the "click to move" in Interface options makes your character attack as well as get into the right position for it. Is there any way to translate that right-mousebutton-click into a string or something usable in a macro?
Sorry if I'm asking rather dumb questions, but I've used search as well as read some very informative posts, yet none could really help me with this particular problem.
