Default IWT for Shaman - is this possible in ISboxer?

Basically i want to set up IWT with target in ISboxer so that it turns on and off in a single click rotating my shaman towards my target like a turrent without actually making him move and break casting.

So essentially you could hold the key down and the char would rotate towards the enemy.

I've tried making a key map where the intial press activates IWT and the release activates a movement key to break IWT but it doesn't seem to work.

is it even possible to do this?

IWT isn't a toggle. It is a single action. You might experiment with a multi-step action where the first step is IWT and then send a move backward command to stop the shaman from actually running to the target's location.

I have a key that is bound to interact with target on key down. then I bound that same key to the down arrow on key up. So with that key i can hold it to move my guys toward the target, when i release it, they stop moving.

If you dont like binding to key downs and ups, then you can have the first click IWT and second hit the down arrow.

Using a KEYDOWN message to perform 1 action then a KEYUP message to perform another is probably against the TOC.

    1 keystroke = 1 action

    Just sayin' .......

There has been a long discussion on this already. Its kind of like discussing religion.

Blizzard added actions on key down or key up a while back. If they dont want me to do that, then they can take the functionality out as easy as they put it in. I listed an alternate method for him as well if he doesnt want to use key downs and key ups.

    1 key action = 1 action

Is fine, currently because Blizzard has specifically put this function into the Keyboard API, which addons can use. To my knowledge, at the moment, Snowfall and Macaroon are the only addons that use this feature.

    Press Down = an action.
    Release = an action.

It is easy enough to do a two step mapped key.
With an action on release of each key, which is the default.

yeah im not worried about the TOS as i read the posts on this site about it and it seems to be ok.

The press down and release method was what i tried before originally posting, perhaps i have done it wrong.

What seens to happen with IWT on press down and move backwards on release is they simply move backward, they don't seem to adjust position to a target.

perhaps i have set up my keymap improperly.

i was hoping it was possible to set up a conflict where you can keep clicking your command to interact with target but relase of the button would counter the command instantly so by spamming the button it would simply rotate toward a target while remaining stationary. seems that is not possible though.

i just hate it when pvp when i get swarmed and all my thunderstorms are down.

You could try mapping one of your mouse thumb buttons to Mouse Repeater.
    Give it two steps.
    Step 1 turns it on.
    Step 2 turns it off.
Set it to execute on press and release.

If your toons are following, or otherwise facing the same direction...
Then a quarter turn clockwise will have them all face the same direction, even if they're not exactly on top of each other.
Not really sure on the practicality of mouse turning a team.
But it is an option to consider... much faster then using the arrow keys to turn.
