A rogue does FOK on four shamans with lightning shield, he will take damage from all right?
Did some testing and somehow people doing aoe on me, didn't take the right damage.

Chances are, shammies are hit capped vs a PvP rogue target.
Cloak of Shadows is the only other variable which would negate the damage.

A mage blizzards your party with lightning shield, their health drops quick. No idea on fan of knives.

Hmmm I can't remember accurately (so maybe I shouldn't be saying anything at all haha) but I seem to remember different AOE attacks reacting differently to lightning shield. I think I remember mage blizzard not procing it (I know it goes against what the other poster said, but it's what I remember) but I remember if he Arcane Exp. me it did proc it. So different AOE attacks might behave differently. Head to the STV arena and try them out!

Based on what you guys find out, you should be filling out bug reports and / or filling out official forum posts on the subject.

QQ aside, this could easily be one of those things that just never got tested properly by blizzard employees (they are terribad testers - just look at the disaster that is ICC).

No shit!? I have to see this with my pally team. Got the added talent to boost this damage in Ret spec too, so yay!

Didnt think Retribution Aura worked on FOK, but does, my rogue did twice as high dmg as retribution aura did.

Also tested FOK on Lightning Shield, also did twice as high dmg as Lightning Shield did on rogue, that was lvl 70 shaman tho, think it would have been about equal dmg if they was same lvl, my rogue only got 163 dps weapons and 4k ap tho, havent played it in a while.

Took 4 FOK to use up the 3 Lightning Shield charges.

Couldnt test if it procced 2 Lightning Shields if it hit 2 shamans as i only got 2 acc but it should do.
In a equal number fight it should however be:
4 FOK rogues, 4 shamans, first rogue takes 4 lightning shields and rest of the rogues take no lightning shield dmg due to the few seconds (3?) delay on Lightning Shield procs.

Would been fun to see a 4 shamans+1 retri paladin vs 1 FOK rogue tho, 1 FOK would probably do 4*Lightning shield (2k? probably much more with lvl 80 lightning shield and more spell power) + 1600 (320 * 5 for the retribution aura).

Well, Lightning Shield will only proc every few seconds, even if you're taking damage constantly.
That's fine, it is the mechanic of the spell.

But if an AoE caster does their AoE...
And hit only one shaman, they take 1x the Lightning Shield damage.

However, the original post is suggesting, hitting 2x or 4x Lightning Shield, is not a 2x or 4x increase in damage.
Which it should be.

just ran my pally team through the horde major cities yesterday for the elder achievement and ran into a few rogues on the way. needless to say, they didn't last long in the fights. mowed down quite a few others on the way, shaman, a pally, a couple rogues (same one a couple times actually. I stuck around the elder in Org for a few for the a rogue to respawn and got him again, along with a boomkin that thought he could get my team down. once I got them, here came the cavalry. with the help of the elite guards outside Thrall's chambers, I didn't last long. Needless to say, the rogues that did jump me, didn't last long after hitting FoK. I shoulda takin a screenshot of my combat log, but at the time, I didn't even think to look at it. I did however manage to get all three elders tho Is it me, or do the auctioneers in Org respawn faster than SW's? I hit that place up first on my way in there and after my first corpserun, yes I got ganked in the AH, the npcs where standing over their corpsessssss.
