Default Yet another beginner thread. (YABT)

Hey there, I've been multi-boxing for a long time... Just not like this. I'd get on my level 70 and run my alts thru instances to level 'em up quickly. Well, I've decided it's time for the next level, 2, soon maybe 3 guys of the same level, and probably class, at once.

Well, now that I've decided to do it, I'm confidant I have a clear understanding of the requirements, software and hardware-wise.. the biggest choice now is a class...

I'm thinking warlock, because that's kinda ezmode, and i don't have any warlocks above 25.... So, dual-boxing, 2 affliction warlocks? good idea?

    thanks,
    -me

If you're only doing 2, Affliction locks is a pretty good idea. Running around with a couple pets and some insane dot's, you'll do pretty well.

For 2 boxing, pretty much anything will work.

-2 hunters (pets to tank, traps, ranged DPS)
-2 mages (POM Pyro x 2, Ranged, AOE)

Those would be my choices though. Shamans aren't THAT effective unless you're 5 boxing them
    5 Shamans - lvl 70
    Xxearth, Xxfire, Xxwind, Xxwater, Xxheart
    Capnplanet - Bank alt

yeah, i thought about 2 BM hunters, but I just got off leveling my hunter alt, so ... yeah, no. =P (i kind of rotate alts to keep things interesting)

    well, off i go!

    thanks!

    2 Warlocks? Hmm.

I got my 3rd account last week, and working on p-levelling my 60 Holy Pally and 64 Shadow Priest, using my 70 Prot Pally to tank.

When I started from level 1 on 3 accounts, I started with 3 Mages, and 3 Shamans to get the feel of it.

I think I may find it boring to just level the same class at the time if I'm not going to power level them.

Looking at my current setup with the 70 Prot Pally, I read more on the spells for Shadow Priest, and an Affliction Warlock would do well with a Shadow Priest (synergy).

So I suppose, synergy would be a key for me.

Speaking of which, I might spec Holy Smite on the Priest when I get the hang of using the Holy Pally to drop Seal of the Crusader and Holy Shock during the fights. A Holy Priest using Holy Fire and Smite, and Holy Nova will work very well together. Along with 2 Pally Consecration.

using two separate classes at once seems a little too much work.. xD

Uh-oh, I just thought of something.

EVERYTHING you do has to be set to macros or key commands, doesn't it? I can't click buttons!

    Yes, Lots of Macros!

I've read that some people click, but I haven't tried that yet, so I can't comment on it.

I've tried a pally / mage / lock / priest setup and its not that hard to control. Their spells align pretty well.

I have a frostbolt/shadowbolt/smite bound to my first ranged attack and a DOT setup on the 2nd.

I would start attacking w/ the paladin, and then start hitting F1, F2 for the ranged to attack.

After trying it for a while I got used to it. I was pretty effective with it after a few levels. I havn't run any high-level characters yet, but I'm excited about making it work.

Part of the fun for me was getting everything to work right
