    Default Group Leveling Question

    Hi all,
so maybe this should be in the new to multiboxing forum not too sure .
So I have leveled 3 toons up to 68 and now joined them to 2 toons at 70, my 68s I then leveled up and are now close to halfway through 69 and the 70s are about half way through 70.
My question is that I use Zygorguide for my leveling guide and it works pretty good as a standalone guide but the issue I am running into with the guide is that the Northrend part of the guide is for 70 onwards and I took toons at 68.
Has anyone else run into this and if so did you circle back and complete quests you were not high enough for at the time or did you just skip completely and still have no issue hitting 80?
    Thanks for all the help

In a similar situation I did 2 things. 1) gave 2 heirlooms to the lower toons and 2) did AV on my 2 mages during AV weekend and caught them up very quickly.

Well all my team have the heirloom shoulders and chest pieces, but they only give kill XP ? So with the very small xp gained from killing stuff removing the higher toons heirlooms would probably not help a great deal.
I have done a little bit of running them in UK with my 80 druid but it is relatively slow going.
On my server AV queues are about 30 minutes.
I did think about running just the 3 lowbie toons through UK but unfortunately my main tank is on the same account as my lowbie tank and so I have no high level tank to run with the group. I did consider just running my lock with my druid in his tanking gear to help clear mobs faster but I am not sure how big of a hit my lowbies will take in XP vs the speed I clear the run at. Heals for my druid in his tanking gear might also be an issue but that would really only be on the boss fights (druid is normally resto)

I started at 68 on 2 toons this weekend. I use Jame's horde leveling guide addon. I finished Howling Fjord to the point I got the zone achievement and only skipped 1 quest due to level and 1 quest (the sleeping king) due to the queen not being up.

I was over 70 when entering Borean Tundra so no leveling issues. I am 85 quests in and have 75 left for the zone achievement.

It has gone much faster then I though. I have the heirloom items, but the heirloom cold weather flying at 68 helped far more then anything else.

    Default I say plow through...

Just dinged my second level 80 about a week ago, solo-boxing my future pally tank toon.

I used Joana's Guide for leveling both my 80's so far. DK was first to 80; no heirlooms, not much rested exp, no dungeon runs, etc and he hit 80 questing storm peaks and after that point I only finished the guide quests for the cash rewards at level 80. Pally was second toon to 80; only the hierloom shoulders, and I ran tons of dungeons on her with the team she's tank for which put her way up in level. She actually hit 80 questing through Zul'Drak, so she's gots several zones worth of quests if I want to run them for the cash.

Basically my point is that on my first 80 I had no exp bonuses or rested exp, and still got 80 before I even entered Icecrown, and I never went back to do to onesy-twosy quests I couldn't pick up at the moment due to level or whatever. I did get the quest achievements for most of the zones though, so if you do most of the quests in a zone you should see 80 go by well before you run out of quests to do in Northrend.

I know when I leveled toons singlely (is that a word lol) I was 80 in Scholozar basin. The issues with doing a full team is that I tend to skip all the collection quests and so lose a lot of XP that way.
I am thinking at this point that I will just rest the three lowbie toons and then run them through a BC run to get them to 70, only 60% left so it should be pretty easy to do. Then it just leaves me with half a level of a difference which should get eaten up during the leveling process and it is not a bad thing to have a higher level healer

It will take longer, but just go back and do Area 52 and SMV. Also, I don't recommend AV just any old time. Like I said, I did it on a weekend when queues for 2 people were instant to 5 mins. You don't want to do quests in Northrend that your 70s are going to need to do, obviously, so you are limited in your options.

Another, less effective method, is to do collection quests you intend to skip only on those toons. That will take ages, however, and won't solve your current problem.

I used the Brian Kopp guide for 1st-70th and the Extreme Leveling Guide for 70th-80th.

From a one-boxing point of view, the collections aren't that bad.
From a five-boxing point of view, they can royally suck.
For the most part I skip collections, or maybe do them on only one toon.

Instance some, if your team can handle instances.
Do a lot of AV, anytime the queue's are not retarded.

The world events like Pumpkin collections or Elder's Coins, are generally worth close to a level as well.
Definitely take advantage of these events.

In Northrend, the only collection crap you need to do, is those that open dailies.
Some will have a reward you want, most can be forgotten.

I am definitely considering doing some dungeons on my way to 80 but currently my tank is the least geared of the team and I think I will wait till the whole team is at 71 before attempting a full UK clear .
really looking forward to some dungeons on this team with the Shammies, fun to see the power of the totem which I am still a noob with

EDIT: I gotta say I do love Zygors Guide, it works really well and is totally standalone with built in guide and direction arrow, no other add ons needed.
