    Default 5X Deathknights in the 50-59 bracket

    Hey Guys,

    For the last 24 hours I have been playing DK's the in the 50-59 bracket ( I have them at 80 I just like playing them at 58/59 in WSG/AB)
    This is by far the most OP group I have ever seen, in this bracket.

    I can literally sit mid field and not let a single person touch me, even if their whole team comes at me 10 v 5, it is easy as pie to send them all to their death beds.

    I am unholy for a few reason --


    1. Improved Death Grip - lowering cast time to 25 seconds, meaning with round robin i can DG someone every 5 seconds.
    2. Master of Goul - no duration on my pets so I have 5 pets all the time, insane for a plate class
    3. Bone Shield - 20% damage reduction on every character
    4. 5x Anti-Magic Zone -- Spread out I can have an anti-magic shield up 40% of the time, very powerful against a group of casters.
    5. Wandering Plague -- Great talent so every time one of my guys crit, theres a chance it spreads all my disease to nearby people
    6. Crypt Fever -- Incrases the damage your target takes from diseases by 30% -- this 5X means increase of 150% -- with so many dots on them it is INSANE how much this increases your DPS.
    7. Improved Unholy Presence -- +15% running spell, perfect for catching people running from you just out of death grip range
    8. Ravenous Dead - Increases ghouls Str/Sta by 60% of yours (with glyph it is an extra 40% for +100% total), making your pets much more powerful, this with 5 pets means some serious pet damage. My pets can kill a caster sometimes in under 3 seconds without me doing anything.
    9. Corpse Explosion - Nice AOE, Also has knockback to get melee's off you. Combined with Blood boil you can put out some decent aoe. Not as good as howling blast, but not bad either.
    10. Pale Horse - 20% mount speed increase --- great for catching eople trying to run. Bonus is you also get a 20% reduction of all stuns and fears, which is great for pvp.
    11. Desecrations - Causes 2 attacks to cast an aoe debuff that slows anyone in the area by 50%, great for when fighting multiple people to keep them all moving slow
    12. Ghoul Frenzy - Haste your pet by 25% making all 5 pets attack faster, combines total for 125% so it is basically like getting a 6th bonus pet for free. On top of that it heals your pets for 60% of their health. It also lasts 45 seconds and the cooldown is only 10 seconds so you could literally keep it on at all times if you were inclined to do so.


    I am only 59 so this is pretty much all of the talents I have so far, I mainly picked talents based on what would work best stacked with 5 Death Knights, not what would work best for a single character.


    Glpyhs --

    Of the Ghoul -- Further increases their strength and stamina by 40%, making my pets have way more health and AP that each of my DK's actually have. They can down a caster sometimes in under 2 seconds, and a warrior sometimes in as little as 3 to 4 seconds.

    My two minor ones are Corpse Explosion to increase range by 5 yards so my AoE hits more people
    and Pestilence so again my AoE is increased by 5 years to spread my diseases to more people who are farther out of range.

    The screenshots below are from a 4-5 hour period that I did bg's, first time on this group. I do not have any achievements or screenshots from AV because I stuck with WSG and AB for these few hours, enjoy

    Anyway, this group is very very OP for the 50-59 bracket., the only game I had a hard time was when the other team had nothing but warlocks and shadow priests and druids, and all the dots on all of my characters were eating them up without me having a healer -- but other than that one game I have not had a single AB we did not win with a 5 cap, or a single WSG where we did not dominate them hard.

    I also have been going for some achievements since they are mcuh easier to get in the 50-59, 60-69 and even 70-79 brackets instead of the later one.

    P.S. -- IF Anyone has some advice they can give me on changes I should make to my talents pls let me know.

    On my first day I got thie Ironman achievement, where you need to cap and run all 3 WSG flag caps that game, without dying once. I was very happy to get that one as I had tried forever on my main and I thought it was near impossible.

I was going for AB achievement talent so they had me running around full speed the entire game making sure they never got a single node

    Thanks for sharing your team.
    A couple of questions I suppose.

    Do you plan on stopping experience, so your toons remain x9th level?
    How do you think a 5x DK team will run, at level 80 (or 85 in Cataclysm) against other maximum level competition?

    this is my frost/blood two hander dps pvp spec that i use on my deathknights( one of them sacrifices some of the pvp talents to get the haste buff btw* ( as seen here http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#jfmMoIZGMxtArckck0hzAo )

    Although these two builds are for a level 80 deathknight, its worth noting the insane burst aoe dmg and healing capabilities of this spec. Rune tap can be spammed every 20 or so seconds for 10 % hps per dk, or popped all at once for an emergency heal 50% to all your dks!, my favorite thing to do with this setup is to run up and cast death chill, and then howling blast a group of people. the subsequent aoe crit *5 * aoe lol means many people will walk up and instantly die. it even helps when in combat that you pop deathchill and frost strike crit anyone who's being pesky for a garuanteeeeeeed crit to the face!

    I dont doubt the power of the unholyness in lower brackets, tho if you're intrerested, try out the frost spec. 5 * hungering cold means an aoe cc is up almost constantly and groups of foes will get frozen and you can wait for procs, or simply just nuke them one by one lol refreeze them and nuke more. Aoe style!

    This spec also has the advantage of having chillblains, meaning any time your frosties has icy touch on the target (err frost fever**) then they are perma slow'd for the duration. so spamming chains of ice does double slow duty by putting the slow from the chains on, AND frost fever, which applies the slow from chillblain. fun stuff, and since you're gonna be spamming obliterates and howling blasts (oblit can cause rime which is a free howling blast) you're always gonna be ranged slowing everyone! This spec is GREAT for ranged dk destruction as well, lol with howling blast icy touch and deathcoil spamming all over the place you're in for some crazy /doom ! ********** its worthy to note that the frost fever applied from howling blast adds the chillblains effect as well which means groups of people slowed if they bumrush you~ an idea here would be to drop 5 death and decay, and then howling blast and blood boil, everyone takes aTON of aoe dmg, they're slowed, and now they're stuck taking dnd damage AND frost fever dmg meanwhile you're pickin them off one by one, if they dont all fall over dead right away lol


    couple things as well, corpse explosion never has had a knock back, i've 3 dks myself and never ever read or noticed that before.

I usually just run in, get some diseases up and spread, then hungering cold(aoe cc), then proceed to pop my auto crit and nuke one target down. Warstomp warstomp, deathgrip chains of ice whack whack dead! lol

    I used to use the rune tap spec for heals on my old DK group before they made the change in battlegrounds to where the person in the largest group is no longer auto the leader. And the leader can no longer move people around so my guys are all in the same group. This was making it so that i had 2 guys in one group, 2 in another and maybe even one solo in a third, so it was messing up my group spells (messes up my totems too).

    I can get around this in 10/15 game bg's by waiting to the last second and hopefully I fill up the last group, but in AV this usually never works out right.

    I plan on doing this at 60, at 59 I still can not get the full frost talent tree.

    Hmm when I used it i saw things flying away from me, maybe it just makes the corpses fly away from me.

    Aww darn really? It shows up 5x on the character so I figured it was stacking.
