I just converted 4 warlocks to alchemy. I made over over 900g profit from the first 3 transmutes (two x2 procs). I'm doing all solid majestic zircons so far, for ease of buying a single type of material.

The other half of making money is running the Argent Tourney quests. There is the money itself, but the big win is in champion seals. I get 8 a day (no jousting) x4, for 32 total. It takes 40 to buy a pet, which I sell on the opposite faction AH for over 1k. So I'm making basically 80% of a 1k item every day.

My totals with 4 warlocks is 1k gold from they pets a plus cash on the dailies, and 800 + bonus transmutes x200. I'm looking at 2k gold with 30 minutes of dailies and 5 minutes of transmutes.

I don't like jousting, even with four toons adding dps from the side lines.
So, pretty much do it for a weapon, if there's no other drop/purchaseable weapon for that toon type.

All my upcoming druids will want the feral staff from Champion Seals.

My goal is a passive income source.
Just do the transmutes, cut the gems, mail to the AH toon.
    And periodically list as necessary.
I'll eventually have a heroic (PvE team), alliance BG/PvP and horde BG/PvP team.
Wouldn't mind checking the AH for undercutting, every 2nd or 3rd heroic/BG.
Of the Alliance/Horde is a goal for both pvp teams, 100k HK's.
That's about as insane as "the insane".

Keep a lookout for any cheap uncut epic gems as well, to cut and relist. They can give you 40-50 gold profit with the added benefit of removing the option of people buying them cheap and getting them cut seperately (why buy uncut then have to find a JC to cut it, if they can buy yours already cut for 20 gold more)

On my realm, primor saronite sells for over 2k on ally side. As i am horde i can buy them for 1200-1400, depending on the day. (they are listed on AH from 1500-2k though, so i buy them through trade or in exchange for cheap raw epic gems). Even with the loss of getting my money back to horde, that is a nice few 100s k without much effort. However i buy mostly mats on ally side and trade those back to horde, to avoid the 15%

If you park a toon at each of the neutral auctioneers -- I have a character set called 'Transfer', configured in IS Boxer for this.... you can observe that no one else is near a neutral auctioneer, and that transfers are safe.

The regular auction house charges a listing fee, based on the merchant price of the item. It also charges a fee of 5% of the sale price of the item. If the item is sold, the listing fee is refunded.

The neutral auction house is the same in this regard, except that listing and sale fees are 3x higher then the Alliance or Horde AH's.

If your item is listed for 1 copper, ideally a 12 hour auction so you can list more auctions before your toons run out of their deposit fund, it only costs 1 copper on the recipients end to purchase the item. The listing toon does not lose anything to the AH cut, and since the item was sold gets the listing fee back.

You just need to make sure you cover all of the neutral auctioneers, so no one can buy your epic gems (or Frostweave Bags, Enchanting mats etc) for 1 copper each.

There is a neutral AH in Everlook (Winterspring), Gadgetzan (Tanaris) and two in Booty Bay (Stranglethorn Vale). The BB ones are a) by the bank; and b) in the lowest level of the house closest to the upside down rowboat.

If you are a multi boxer - run heroics - AH emblems in the form of secondary colour gems and keeper shards in the form of primary colour gems. If you are 5 boxing you will make 400-500g per heroic run (which should take less than 20-30minutes per run). Money problem solved. You would even make more if you worked on a JC and figured out which gems are selling right now.

Everyone is gearing up and needs new gems.

Finn i think your math is a little off either that or your server pays a ton for gems lets say you get an avg of 5 badges per toon per dungeon That is 2.5 gems per rune every 2 hours you get 20 stone keeper shards so thats not enough for even a honor token.

lets just say you bought the cheaper badge gems those sell for what 100-150max ish... Im not thinking your making an addition 300-350 gold in drops... But ive been wrong before...

With the 2 bonus emblems, the least amount you'll get for a run is 5. Average is over 6. That's 30 emblems per team, let's say 2 runs per hour. So 6 gems an hour. I'm averaging well over 175 per purple gem right now on Crushridge. I think people are just now coming into their new pvp gear and gems are selling very well. So that's 875 just from gems, plus at least 2 abyss crystals and 8 dream shards for another 100+ gold or so. Then 13g for finishing a random heroic x5, twice, so another 130g. You're looking at 1100+ pretty easily per hour (550+ per run)...at least on my server.

Then if you're lucky like I was last night, you get occulus and every gets a fistful of scarlet rubies which are currently going for around 70g each. That was a nice little bonus of 9 rubies from one run.

a 20 run breakdown (with wintergrasp) yields

    12x ametrine/eye of zul/dread per roon (60 total)
5x cardinal ruby (from stone keepershards)

    This equals(on my server) 100(60) + 140(5) = 6700 20 runs = 6 hours. That is not including anything else.

Theres a breakdown in another thread. But basically you are looking at about 1500g an hour or more average. Some servers upwards to 2500 depending on prices. If i were to x-fer my items to alliance and sell them there, i'd make an extra 40ish gold per gem uncut after AH tax... so i guess it's more than 6700 from just the gems. Doing heroics for 24 hours should yield somewhere over 40,000 gold. This is more than enough to get whatever you want, and is enough to level alchemy on 20+ characters.

I don't mind farming. With the increase in drop rate of frost lotus... yesterday in 2 hours while farming herbs for my alchemists (gold clover to be exact) i got 42 frost lotus in 2 hours. Yes i need these for alchemy but i need the other herbs a bit more at the moment so i pawned these off @ 70g per. So that was a total of about 1200g in an hour which is nothing to scoff at considering i'm ONLY selling the frost lotus.

    /agree

The income is at least guarenteed and with the left overs you can ah the enchanting supplies you get from the greens. crystals and shards are pretty worthless, but dust can be entising some days, while gce's are always a good ah filler on my server

back to the dailies, if you are sitting on your computer waiting for auctions to sell, might as well be doing dailies, at least you get 1k+ per team per day imo
