What characters do most people bind the keys to?

I tried binding to Ctr + keys and Alt + keys. it seems like if some of them get transmitted to a character that doesnt have a bind for that, it just strips the modifiers off.

Is there an option in WoW to have it stop trying to correct the input? If not, I can just set innerspace to only pass it to the correct clients, but I am trying to be a little lazy so that I dont have to make keymaps for each team.
