    Default Healing Debuff 3.2.2

Patch 3.3.2 is bringing about a change to the way healing functions in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and Wintergrasp. We have applied a debuff to all players in these zones which will decrease the effectiveness of all forms of healing by 10%. This includes heals from items such as Healthstones and potions, however, it will not affect defensive shields or auras. This change is being made to balance the effectiveness of healing against the recent buff we made to the damage reduction component provided by resilience. Rest assured that we will be closely monitoring the effects both the healing and resilience changes have on Battleground, Wintergrasp, and Arena PvP game play to ensure that fights last a reasonable amount of time without overtly skewing the effectiveness of any class, role, or team combination.

Wooot. we are back in business. Just when I was about to skill up and get my "A" game in CC rotation, Blizzard puts me right back to keyboard mashing.

you'll still need your A game for CC, it's only a 10% nerf and healing is still ridiculous especially against a team with no mortal strike.

yeah, healing isn't 10% over the top, it's easily 70% over the top, this is a last-ditch effort on Blizz' part to try and band-aid their mechanics again ><

they're jut going to keep stacking shit on top of shit instead of keeping it simplistic and finding an actual overall balance.

    what a bunch of Rtards

They should just have resilience also decrease healing received. Make the tradeoff between less damage & crits received vs less healing received unbalanced enough that players still want to wear PvP gear in PvP, but then at least PvE is unaffected and they can balance arenas/BGs/etc.

I am enjoying this debuff in arena atm. I do mutiple 2 dps 2v2 teams and very little healing. Just dps and CC and even though with the 10-20% resilence change that is noticeable, I am noticing the healing debuff more. Healers are having to heal more and less time to do anything else.

Wouldnt this just make people more likely to wear more PvE gear in PvP?

That's a nice one, but it would indeed require some balancing to avoid people using pve gear.

Yes, it would make people more likely to wear PvE gear, but Blizzard controls the formulas so they can still make PvP gear the most attractive gear for PvP while having resilience decrease healing received.
