My DK/ 4 ret exp...

Honestly this team is just Freaking NASTY!!!! I just basically Blend mobs.. So let me take you on a little journey of how I got to this.

Yesterday after literally getting Halls of stone and Halls of Lighting no less then 2 times each (this is on my 5xpally team) anyway. I thought to myself lets take the DK out of the box and see how he handles the world. After tweeking my spec 3-4 times I finally felt good enough to give it a shot. First up Heroic Utgarde keep. On my 5x Pally I pull then entire front part and because hes in mostly T9.5 I have zero problems. The DK is in full Nax gear so I take it slower go to pull the left side wasnt watching out and pulled both. I have a pally DS DS and pop 15% extra hps on the DK and I ground those mobs to a pulp. thinking it was some kind of fluke I continued on literally eating the mobs. Guys Im not kidding I really believe I looked @ my pally and Dks face and blood was covering their faces it was nuts!

Ok so that was an easier heroic lets try something elese. Random again and Bam Culling of Strat so have 3 hours of Arthas Rping the instance starts the first 3 zombies did fantastic I was like uhh did they even get a damn hit off? Meathook did UHHHMAZING! The fight was 23 seconds... TWENTY THREE F'n SECONDS PEOPLE! I made it to the drake with 10 min left to spare. (BTW my Ret pallies really only have 4/5 T9 and the Two Ton hammer everything elese is crafted PVP blues) Make my way to Malganis and 33 seconds later DEAD! Anyway Im having a blast with this team. Its literally cracking me up to see the total ownage this team pumps out. My only slight problem is my Dk is obviously more spikey than my prot pally so dealing with that is a bit of a learning curve...

My team is only around 66 (haven't played them in about a week due to RL... turning 30 requires a good amount of celebrating apparently) so I'm not sure how much passive healing really works.

What type of healing system are you using? Do you rely entirely on instant FoL and diving storm? Do you have all pallys cast their heal at once? How do you deal with some being on a GCD while others aren't? Just keep spamming the button?

With healing I depend on FoL and DS yes all pallies cast it @ once and to ez heal im using Vuhdo I set everyone as a private tank so when I join a BG or something my team doesnt get Fubard. Does that answer your question? The only real problem with DS is because its a smart heal it doesnt actually seem to heal the entire team so be on the look out for that but Blood tap is an AMAZING 12% Group heal that will really take your ass out of the fire 9 times out of 10.

For heroic farming (I only do the daily heroic for 2 frost emblems now) I started rolling as 5dps once my gear got to the point of the pallies pulling 5-6k dps and found it more efficient as my DK can then do much more dps (4-5kish dps). When the pallies suited up in 2pc T10 and ilvl245 weps their dps totally skyrocked... I still use the DK to tank a few of the heroic ICC5 bosses like scourgelord, However, outside of that the DK is just another DPS and agro bounces around to whoever. My DK is speced 45/26 and uses a castsequence of 2x death strike->8x heart strike with no reset which is perfectly efficent if you have death rune mastery, diseases are pretty worthless in heroics when targets die in a few seconds

LOL supra You gotta post your Armory link bro Id love to see this team lol. The idea of Agro bouncing has always be hilarious to me. Figure its like PVP they mobs loose DPS when they cant hit you and are to busy running.

Absolutely loving this team. I got the northrend dungeon heroic on them about a week ago, and finally cleared ToC heroic. I still need 1 or two more in there for the achievement. I tried PoS last night and got that one knocked out. The final fight was a joke compared to the few pulls before it.

I still have yet to finish FoS and HoR. I need to read up more on the final fight of FoS as he wipes the floor with me pretty good. I've been tweaking my CC macros for HoR, and still don't have it quite right.

I'm thinking a new tanking spec for my DK. Right now, i'm a combo of blood, heavy frost, and enough unholy for improved D&D. It works well overall, but I still have my paladins pulling aggro occassionally.

Zapp I was looking @ skippys armory not really understanding your Current build bro. Your missing out on a TON of extra healing. Improved DS Vamp Blood why spell deflection? And your first spec that makes more sense. Hows Hungering Cold working out for ya?

My primary spec is my pvp arena spec. Hungering cold is in my build strictly for additional CC. The secondary spec is what I've been messing around with PVE. When I first started heroics, I was having a hell of time keeping aggro when d&d was on cd, so I created this off spec to where I could plant d&d more often and put in corpse explosion for an aoe runic dump. Healing is rarely an issue, as almost anytime I wipe, it's usually due to one of my paladins. They'll either pull aggro and I have a hell of time in combat trying to figure out which mob to taunt back, or else one of the paladins gets stupid and runs off and grabs more mobs, with the latter being more common. It's definitely not your normal tanking build, but I wanted something that I could pve and world pvp with that still had the strengths of the pvp build.

One thing I love with this build though is the decrease DG time. Nothing better than pulling people out of the sky, killing them, and then using corpse explosion to blow them up.

I need to read up on good tanking builds, as I'll probably respec either deep blood, or deep frost. Deep frost looks a lot better for AOE tanking with howling blast, but I'm also at the point to where heroics is about all I'll do on these guys for pve.

1DK4Pal is a good team, but Ive found it hard when there is a lot of close range AoE. Here are the places i had trouble with at first. All can be passed, just takes some time.

HoR - This place is just a pain overall
ToC Black knight phase transition 2-3 hurts if all the ghouls are piled up on you.
PoS last boss hurts when that damn rat with wings targets your tank and blows everyone up.
Last boss in HoS -> lightning of death
1st boss in HoL -> whirlwind of death
Skaldi in UP->whirlwind of death
Anub'arak -> pound of death
Vh - Xevozz if your tank still has click to move on

I can't wait to try arena with this team though, it has lots of power and its fun to run into masses in WG and just clear them out.
