Default DK Tank Advice needed for 3.3

My pally tank is pretty well geared and I am in the process of gearing up some new characters. I have this DK tank on my pally tanks account and I was thinking of using him with the new guys. I have about 125 badges on the dk so I can buy the tank t9. I would like some advice on the best build for a multiboxing dk tank for 3.3. Any tips on rotations would be great too. My pally is just so easy to box but he is geared up and has over 100 badges sitting. I figured why not gear the dk up instead of getting a ton of badges on my pally.

You can't beat a blood spec for survivability. My character's name is Necrotíc. I generally use the blood spec on my armory for raid tanking and progression stuff or a dps based unholy build for ripping through 5 mans.

I have a separate rotation on each build depending on whether I am single or multi target tanking. I have gotten these straight from the elitist jerks forum and found them to be pretty spot on for multiboxing.

Any tips on gemming? I can't find anything consistent about DK tanks I've seen on these forums and ones on my server - some gem pure stam (which I did on my paladin), some seem to go for every socket bonus and gem more avoidance. Any benefit in taking a big stam hit if you're already def capped?

I was just about ready to drop +30 stam in every slot with less than a +12 stam socket bonus.. worked on my paladin at least.

I would be doing 5 man heroics so do you think unholy would be the best tank spec or should I go blood?

Amazingly i have been having good results with a 1-disease 2handed Frost build.

Even though my 4 Ret Paladins had way better gear than my DK tank (from running protpally/4ret for 2 months before switching tanks) i had no trouble keeping single and AoE agro with this setup.

Also very easy to macro with a clickmacro
/castsequence reset=4 Howling Blast,,,,,,,,,,,,(enough comma's to reset when your frost rune is available again)
    /castsequence reset=4 Obliterate,,,,,,,,,,
/castsequence reset=4 Blood Boil, Blood Boil,,,,,,,,,,,,

    main click macro is
    /startattack
    /Click button "1"
    /Click button "2"
    /Click button "3"
    /Cast Frost Strike (rune dump)
    /Cast Rune Strike (rune dump)

This is a very straight and simple setup and allows a nice flow of rune usage
    Howlingblast is 1unholy/1frost rune
    Obliterate is 1unholy/1frost rune
Bloodboil is 1blood rune (used twice)

I never get stuck on this macro, constantly casting spells and never getting in trouble with runes off cooldown.
And amazingly enough it holds agro quite well, even when soloboxing in random heroics with agro monkeys

Edit: Here is my armory for gear and spec http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...Mill&cn=Zyxxyx

Go there, check out everything and then whichever spec you go with follow his advice for spell casting priority. Make a castsequence, yes really, a castsequence for two rotations of runes. He has it all set up there so all you have to do is copy/paste(of course spelling everything out fully.) DK tanking is extremely easy and a castsequence works fine, I've tanked ICC25 raids with the bloodsequence. Make sure you dont include too many moves that require rune power though. It can hang your castsequence.

For those wondering, http://pwnwear.com is Gravity's blog. Gravity is a mod and regular contributor on http://www.deathknight.info and also posts a lot on http://maintankadin.failsafedesign.com/.

i.e. Both links from the above posts are good.

I've also posted an Unholy tank spec & rotation here (updated for 3.3):
