ive been setting my 5 on 1 up for the past few weeks. from what ive found you're going to need at least 2 more gigs of ram ontop of that and go with ddr2 1000, im not that great with video cards so i wont comment on that - only saying i went with the geforce 8800 gts. and maybe pick up a hard drive with more rpms to help with loading times. i went with a raptor x 1000rpms for wow and got another seagate 250gb for storage.

you also want at least...600watts for your psu and conceder a full tower insted of mid tower for better cooling

i cant say if itll run 5 on that but i will suggest you concider upgrade a few parts to what i said

you may want to improvethe power supply. 350W is going to have issues.

if you ever want to put more graphics cards in the box, consider putting in a 650W power supply

a generic PSU is almost always crap, and even a decent brand 350w would not be enough for your setup. I recommend something like this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371002

The system itself is not power hungry it is the video cards that make systems need massive PSUs. Any good brand (Antec, Corsair, Sparkle) PSU of 500+watts should work for you, dont get anything less.

Crappy PSUs in a good computer is like buying the shell of a Shelby GT and putting the engine from a Ford Probe into it.

You're spending a lot of cash on a mediocre system as far as I can see.

    Q6600 Processor.
    4GB RAM
    8800GT
    and a good PSU.

I really wouldn't recommend multiboxing on anything less. Poor performance from your computer will only hurt your performance.

Agreed. I just ordered all my parts for a system that Wilbur describes exactly and I spent about $850 after rebates. I'm also selling the 3 crappy AthlonXP computers that were running my "clones" for $200 and adding in $200 in gift certificates I received for christmas. $450 for a quad core? Awesome.

Feel free to email me by clicking on my email link to discuss finding deals on things. For instance, most people spend $50-100 on a nice "gaming" PC case. I for a gaming case for $15 after rebates. A good PSU could set you back $100, I found one for $50 after rebates.

Sure, rebates are sometimes a pain... but I saved ~25% on my purchase price.

Case: ATX MEDIUM TOWER CASE 350 WATT (SILVER COLOR)
-buy the power supply seperate, and get a 550W or 600W. For the case, check out the Cooler Master 690 case. The cooling on it is amazing, I just used it to build my new system. ZipZoomFly has it for like $40 after the mail in rebate... can't beat that!
    CPU: (Sckt775)Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6750 CPU @ 2.66GHz 1333FSB 4MB L2 Cache 64-bit
    -should be fine
    Mainboard: MSI P6N SLI-FI nForce 650i SLI Chipset LGA775 FSB1333 DDR2 Mainboard
-should be fine. check out the bundled motherboard+processors at TigerDirect.com. You can get an EVGA 650i bundled with your processor for $269.99. I got an XFX 680i LT with the same processor for $319.99
Memory: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)1GB (2x512MB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair Value Select or Major Brand)
-get AT LEAST another 1GB. PC6400 should be fine. Try put in 2GB more though.
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express
-should be okay, but consider moving up to an 8800. gonna be a lot more expensive though. Make sure you are getting DDR3 memory and not DDR2 for the graphics card. I got the EVGA 8600 GT 512MB and it's great. NewEgg has it for $119 after mail in rebate, which saves about $200 off of a 8800.
    Video Card 2: NONE
    VIDEO CARD 3: NONE
LCD Monitor: ViewSonic Q201WB 20& quot; 5ms Response Time COLOR TFT Active Matrix WSXGA LCD Display 1680x1050 (Black)
    -fine
    HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (200GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD)
    -fine

Only thing you REALLY need is more memory and a beefier power supply. With the 8600GT, you'll probably want to turn down the video settings.

For five boxing on a single computer, I really would recommend using a Q6600. The "Extreme" Dual cores are quite over-rated. Lets look at it objectively, what are you getting? For one, TWO LESS CORES, an increase of 266Mhz, a faster FSB which is admitedly useful but only really if you are using fast RAM which you are not.

The Q6600 is a dream as far as I'm concerned, it overclocks beautifully even with a stock cooler/fan combo. There are very very few reasons to get an E6750 over a Q6600 other than the minor diffrence in price.
