Default What's the fastest way to get this character up?

First of thanks for the great board, i've been lurking forever.

    I own three accounts

    1. With my current main a 66 druid and the 14 mage I would like to get to 60 asap.
    2. This is a frozen (just unpaid.. but easy to turn on) account with no characters on the server in question
    3. A trail recruited from account 1 to try out boosting before fully upgrading

I got a trail character to 8 so i could boost him in rfc with my 66 druid. This went like you can imagine.. not within four levels of the linked account = paltry xp.

Now looking closely at things it seems i should have had account 2 recruit the trail (still doable if I just send a new invite from account 2 then upgrade it).

I'm hoping someone can look at this set-up and recommend either the best course of action or some choices I hope I missed. There are some things to consider though.

I would really like to keep the level 14 on the main account and get him to 60 fast.. i don't care if it is through granted levels or directly gotten. I am set-up to run two or 3 instances of wow if need be.. the turn-off to this is the sub/key cost. I would like to keep that down as low as I can.

What about getting a $10 raf or two, and wiring up your accounts. Then xfering the new character to your druid's account. This would being you three characters (or more). Versus stagger leveling with your druid.

    I wouldn't frame anything around a level 14 character.

    Thanks for that.

The transfer the new character is throwing me off. Do you mean after a new mage is leveled to transfer him?

In that case it looks like it will take 3 accounts minimum.

Hopefully it won't offend anybody to notepad out loud here:

10 bucks for RAF account recruited from account 1. Another 10 for a second RAF. Then 25 for the xfer. 45 bucks total.

How much faster is that than just rolling up a single RAF buddy and questing to 60?

If your druid (66) is Feral spec.
With quest / leveling gear from Hellfire, Zangarmarsh, Terrokar, Nagrand etc...

You will plow through all of the old world content.
Stratholme/Scholomance might not be super quick and easy to solo.
And you'll probably not solo Ramparts.

But that is still very quick boosting to 45th at least.
And then you can try the Strath/Scholo trash for leveling speed.
    Or quest from there.

With RAF, you get 3x the normal experience from quests and kills.
    From 1st to 60th.

If leveling the mage is the goal, I would have the RAF account linked to the mages account.
Level 80's in fresh to 80th gear, but with a specific boosting progression have done 1-60 in 9 hours.
That is probably spread over 2-3 days of real time.
Your 66th is not an 80th, but if you were to play 3-4 hour sessions, you could go 1-60 in under a week.
Not sure on your play time, maybe 3-4 hours a night is unrealistic, and it might be two weeks.

An equally efficient route, without RAF, will be approximately 3x longer for 1st to 60th.
So 27 hours of boosting time, with an 80th, which might be spread over a week.
Or probably 50-60 hours of non-RAF boosting time, with a 66th.

The 60-80 process is the same either way.
I'd probably solo quest the mage, with the druid on auto follow.
Providing heals for next to no downtime.
Mage Evocation + Druid Innervate, for the mana regen.
Until they're about the same level and can group from there.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

First thank you for tailoring the info found in your other posts to my situation. It is helpful.

So the fastest and most cost effective way to do this seems to be

Have account A (with he 66 druid) recruit
Account B with a level 1 toon and recruits
Account C with another level 1 toon

Level both B and C to level 8 then dungeon AoE grind with A. Since B and C are linked and they are within 4 levels of each other XP is tripled on the mobs A kills even thought he is not within 4 levels.

Looking at it that way it seems more cost effective to just recruit a second account and quest with the triple XP. I like fast (as the title stated) but now 25 bucks for the transfer at the end doesn't appeal to me. 3 boxing in a permanent fashion doesn't interest me like it used to. So whatever accounts i generate with leveling this mage will probably get left by the wayside.

If you are intent on leveling up the level 14 mage, I see two ways to achieve it.

    1. Account A linked via RAF to new Account C. Create new character on Account C (will start getting triple xp once he hits level 10). Quest to level 60.

    2. Account C and Account D both linked to Account A via RAF. Create two new characters, boost them with your druid on Account A. Use granted levels (30 levels each) to boost your Mage to level 60.

Number 1 will be cheaper but will take longer, Number 2 will be faster but more expensive.

    Hope this makes sense

    Restoration Druid (72) : Elemental Shaman (70) : Discipline Priest (67)

Everything else makes perfect sense and thanks for it.

If i went with method 2 here wouldn't C and D need to be linked to each other instead of A?

    You are right. My bad

    A -> C -> D

Would result in C and D both getting triple from the boosting.

Unfortunately, this means you will only have 30 levels to grant to your Mage.

You could create another character on Account C, and quest with your Mage until 30 (Combine options 1 and 2)

The other alternative is A recruit C, create new chars on both, level to 14, then switch to using mage on A and new char on C and quest to 60. You get triple XP for quests as well.

It's all down to how you like to play, me, I can't stand instance grinding.

You could also, if money isn't a problem, recruit D, E, and F so that you end up with a five boxing setup - it takes no longer to level five than it does two or three. This way, when you decide to five box later oen, you'll have the full setup without having to do it all again.
