    Default Heirloom Item usage

    Hi guys,
so I have a quick heirloom question, when you were leveling multiple sets of toons of different classes, did you get heirlooms specific to the class or just get a set of heirlooms that all toons could wear? Seems like getting the shoulders and chest for each class would take a lot of Emblems of Heroism?
    Any advice?

I went with cloth so that all toons could use them in the future.

I did the same when I grinding instances from 70-80. The star's aligned for wintergrasp buff most of that time as well.

    I'm running 5 accounts.
    And have heirlooms as follows:

    A: None.
B: Cloth Shoulders, Leather Chest + Shoulders.
C: Cloth Chest + Shoulders, Leather Chest + Shoulders.
    D: Leather Chest + Shoulders.
    E: None

I go for Stonekeeper Shards for shoulders if at all possible.
To save the badges for more useful things.
The chest has to be badges, the shoulder can be shards or badges.

I'm going with cloth -- caster stats.
    And leather -- melee stats.
And that will be it; if I ever level ret pallies, they'll use the leather.

I'm in the slow process of banging out heroics.
If I enjoyed dungeons more, it would likely be a bit faster.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

If you enjoy farming heroics for gear - you'll end up with a metric shit ton of extra badges that you'll have nothing better to spend on.

Heirloom armor is 40 badges chest or shoulders.

Min. 5 badges per random run. Thats 8 runs at max per peice of gear. If you do the AT daily grind, you'll also get champion seals by the truck load for gear as well. If you get 5 occulas runs in a row (random), you'll be done. Before you say this is silly, I've gotten 4 occulas in a row already.

....my point is, with a little work, you can easily get every peice of BoA armor. But that's assuming you want to level that many toons of different gear types.

The issue with the AT dailies, you have to be Crusader to buy from the Crusader vendor. I'm only Crusader on one of my toons. I just haven't done the rep grind, and the 30g from the bags > City rep for me most of the time.

I buy specific BoA's. I didn't buy cloth because at higher levels, you'll actually *want* stats to be viable. At level 70+ there was a huge difference for my ret pally having so much STR and Crit from the BoAs, instead of tons of SP. So I don't mind farming a ton of badges, Since they've had BoA's available. I've bought countless shoulders and 5-8 chests + lots of pvp shoulders and weapons. My lowbie 3 paladins have BoA Shoulders, chests, PvP weapon. My mage has shoulders / chest / trinket. Hunter has Shoulders, chest. I had the chest / weap / shoulders on my Paladin, Priest had shoulders and chest as well.

Do the grind. There is nothing better than 5x mechnostriders.

Well I am thinking I may go with cloth pvp shoulders for the moment (I have tons of the Stonekeeper shards with nothing to spend them on) and the chest will be toon specific.
The big pain is downgrading Emblems of Triumph to Emblems of Heroism
    Thanks all for the insight

Remember you can shift + click and enter a quanity (up to 250) to move all 40/80 from Triumph -> Conquest at once. Just rinse /repeat until you get to heroism.
