Default Melee boxing team runs around like chickens with no heads HELP?

Not that it bothers me right now but My team runs around when they attack a target and then when the target is dead they like to run in random directions so im always having to make them follow. Any way for them to stick on a target and not just run around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're stating since it almost sounds like your entire team is running around aimlessly but...

The 'run around like an idiot' bug is well known with melee boxers using the IWT+CTM combination. The bug resides in WoW itself not in any of the software we use to multibox with. I believe the only 2 solutions you have at the moment are:
    Code:
    1. Turn on Jamba follow strobe
    2. Become a master at hammering on that follow key

It is definitely not a bug, you shouldnt be spamming the IWT key faster than the pathing mechanism can resolve itself and you need to know that your IWT pathing is for the location of the mob when you pressed it, not for where the mob is currently.

What your characters are clearly doing is orientating or reorientating themselves to a moving target and creating a path to that facing. This never happens on stationary targets (like a dummy, an stationary npc, or various very slow moving mobs) no matter how much you spam the IWT key.

When a character runs off into the distance is likely that the camera changed or the mob became unavailable to be interacted with and you technically forced the character to click move to a point off on the game terrain. This movement is directly akin to the repathing delay queue. Also interrupting the IWT queuing can cause the click point to not be the target but some line in the pathing route.

Since the pathing routes are very complex (if you watch a hunter pet path for example its quite ingenius how the move around all things considered) you are likely in for some surprises when your character aligns to one of these orientation lines.

When testing Feral macros, I've had my toons (anywhere from 3-5 of the team) run around the target dummy.
That is with an IWT / DPS spam speed of 2 clicks per second.

Have not had the toons run off for the sunset.
But have had them go for a different target dummy then the one I was targeting.

For PvE, its pretty easy to have a toggle which enables/disables the IWT.
Click the DPS move with IWT enabled, and then hit the toggle to disable the IWT.
While continuing to spam the DPS move.

For PvP, with targets who are constantly mobile...
We pretty much need to leave IWT enabled the whole time.

although its unnecessary and annoying in pve, that side effect of spinning around is absolutely devastating in pvp. people can't attack or cast on you to save their lives

    This.

Against a stationary target your slaves will act normal if they were anywhere near melee range when you hit "back."

you do not IWT in PvE at all. learn to have your slaves follow you and then learn to have your main in the right position slightly off to one side of each mob you want to kill. I very rarely use IWT in PvE.

No, just learn not to spam. I have next to no problems with runaways by having my melee toons on follow during a pull and using interact moderately.

no, you dont need it. We all used it for a long time before it came along just fine with melee teams.

Rarely ever is it a required thing. I can understand that when you start a fight and the team needs to move one step further IWT may work, and the odd fearing mob here and there, but it shouldn't be a big problem at all in PvE.

and yes, spamming it in pve is stupid XD
