My second solo 80 on KJ

So a few weeks ago I xfered my 71 Paladin and leveled her and geared her. While I was leveling, I was *constantly* qued up for instances as DPS. I always had great runs and it was a breeze. I ding'd 80 having only completed 3 full zones and parts of Icecrown. I think a lot of my extra XP was from so many quick and easy dungeons.

My Priest just hit 80 yesterday, and every dungeon run was an absolute nightmare. Terrible groups beyond belief. People who had no idea how to do the instance, people who had no idea how to play their class (not that this is any different at 80, lol) but wow. from 74-78 I was getting ONLY reg VH as a "random" dungeon. I just started leaving them because I was getting 6-8% XP from the entire dungeon. It was crazy. I could have spent the same amount of time and done twice as much XP via quests. So I ended up at 80 and the filler difference between the 2 toons was I did the Sons of Hodir quest chain to make up for the much fewer instances.

This weekend: Heroic Dungeon bender. Hopefully the groups will be a lot better and I really hope the idiots I was running with haven't made it to 80 yet. heh.

I'm really starting to believe that the "wave" of "good pugs" we all experienced were good players just getting there mains T9. Now that that grind is over with, we're stuck with the mouth breathers.

At least the queues are fast and the ability to leave a dungeon is instant.

My new "bad pug check" system is if I'm off Dungeon Finder CD and we haven't killed the first boss /leave

You want to experience painful pugging, go start a new toon and try the first few instances. It's painful. I had 3 in a row where the healer didn't know he had signed up to heal and then didn't know which spells were healing spells.

For all of you fortunate enough to have NOT been swayed by the bear, this is quite the understatement. Just sayin...

I found the groups get better as my gear level goes up. So say Im low 4k gs (I know I KNOW!) I tend to get people from 3500-4kish that suck with maybe one super high gs person. When I got closer to 5k most of my group was actually close to 5k with one low gs and again a high gs. Weird how it does that.

The system is setup to carry at last one member of the group.

Your low = everyone else is high
Your high = you've goint to have at least one low person

Blizzard actually confirmed this.
