Talking Another stupid questions from n00b :)

    Dear Sir's,

I think to start my multiboxer's life (to finish my real life hehe..)
I can afford pc upgrade & +4 wow accounts. But ofc I have few questions..

    Situation:
1 account with 10 characters(70-80 all) so I don't need to give levels to someone here.
    2,3,4,5 - new accounts(will be created soon).

I need to boost 2 teams (etc 4 sham & 4 dru) from 0 to 80 on 2,3,4,5 accounts (1 sham & 1 dru per acc) for fun.
And I need to boost 2-4 teams of easiest _ class _ to _ boost from 0 to 68 for professions. (2-4 character per account) 2,3,4,5 accounts.

    1. WoW system "Invite a friend": how to link all this account's to create a chain to give maximum of "free" level to my toons? (and max x3 exp)
For example: From 1 account send invitation to 2, form 2 ->3 >4 >5. Pls explain why.. if it's possible.

    2. I will boost my toons using 80 DK tank(only instances, no questing). What spec is preferred for boosting? (Unholy = lots of aoe.. but mob's died before i can hit them second time to spread diseases :(( ) Glyphs?.. If there specific topic - pls link :)

    3. Which class is easiest to boost? I think spd druid(restore 0-68, then boomking/restor). (they can heal & res :))) ) But pal etc can use bable in case of agrro..

    4. How many time needed to boost 4 toons(shaman etc) 0-68 & 0-80 with dk 80? I understand that for all us it's different.. just give me few examples :) pls answer in hours.

    many tnx!

    KR,
    Denis

1- i can not answer this question because i did not use "refer a friend"

2-not sure if there is a topic for boosting, you can check the wiki or use the search
I use a prot pally to boost my lower lvls, but i assume a dk will do fine as well. your goal is to park your lower lvls in the instance and grab as many mobs as you can take on your 80 dk, bring them back to your lower toons near the entrance and kill them for the xp. then when the path is clear you can take your toons further in the instance and do it again. I found some instances you can not train the mobs too far from their spawn spot or they will drop combat and run back to their spot. not sure if this was fixed or not. As for abilities you can just use "Death and Decay" in a group of mobs and they should go down pretty fast in lower instances.

3- pretty much all classes are easy to boost. when you get to higher lvl instances, being able to heal your group and what not is great. but for the most part your toons will not be attacking or casting any spells just incase they get aggro from doing so. not sure about high lvl instances though.

4- depends on were you go to boost them. I am not certain, but you want the lvl of the instances to be higher lvl then the characters you want to boost. But I could be wrong and someone will have to correct me because I usually just quest on the lower lvl toons. as for how long it will take, it will take more then a few hours thats for sure. an exact number of time can not be determined because we will not know how fast or slow you will take the toons through the instances. I think I seen a thread stating someone got their toons to 58 in 7hours or less just boosting.

someone with more knowledge with dungeon boosting will have to chime in and correct me

this is what fuzzyboy did for his team in a boosting thread that I found using the search, so thanks to him

If you're rich, grinding dungeons with your tank main from 68 - 80 is an option, but if you're not and you plan to buy fast flying skill + cold weather flying (which speeds up questing xp a LOT), you should probably go the questing route. It's a lot of greens and quest gold you're missing if you don't. If you have the money to spend on buying epic flyers for your levelling toons, definitely do it!

I recently started up 4 new chars. I didn't use RAF, which has the added advantage of slaves not having to be close to the main for getting xp - all the instances below I never moved my chars from entrance area - my suggestion would be:

1-8 questing (get heirlooms right away - i usually mail them and bring my booster toon over with a mailbox to drop in the newbie area)

8-10: Boost RFC - pull the mobs to the beginning of the chamber with the bridges and slaves will get xp at entrance) - no resets since you'll be level 10 before you're locked out.

10-20: Boost SFK - great xp and you can pull the whole instance in one pull - jump down the roof when you're done to get to the slaves

20 - 40: Boost SM - boring, but worthwhile. Do cathedral and armory, then reset.

40 - 45: Boost BRD - fun change from SM and better XP / hr. You can do both "rings", the initial big room and the whole area around Baelgar. Might be best with a druid or paladin though, since you need some sort of way out of the nets (blessing of freedom, bubble, shapeshift etc.)

45 - 55: Boost Stratholme - great fun, there's a good video about boosting strath on this site. You can do it in one pull, but two is safer and you'll get locked out for a long time anyway.

55 - 60: Boost Ramparts - still great xp at level 60. You can stay until 62 if you want, although after 61 it slows down. Also do a run of blood furnace - it's not as good xp / hr, but one run is good for the quests.

60/62 - 66: Questing - if you start questing at 61/62 and with heirloom you can skip all collection quests.

66 - 67: Boost Sethekk halls - great boosting xp again.

67 - 68: Netherstorm. This zone has sooo many good quests - especially the area around Kirin'var village.

68 - 80: Northrend questing all day long - you'll probably need the gold and with heirlooms and fast flying, it's actually just as fast as instancing (although you might want to do each instance once for the nice rewards and quests). Also, remember to go Icecrown as soon as you hit 77, since you need to unlock some areas and factions anyway.

I followed this route with my rogues and when they dinged 80 they had around 7k gold each (which in turn paid for the riding skills + flyers).

You have an existing account (A), which doesn't need to receive any granted levels.
    And four new accounts, B, C, D, and E.

I'd probably try to concentrate levels on B then.

    Link like this:
    B -- C -- E
    B -- D

    I'd still link from A to B.
    It doesn't hurt.
When B pays for the first month of the subscription, A is credited for a month.
And when B pays for the second month, A gets a free epic ground mount - Zhevra.

    Log into A's account management.
Send an RAF invite to yourself.
Use the code from the email to create B.
Then upgrade B with a retail copy of wow.
    Then from B's account management.
    Send yourself two RAF invites.
Use these two codes to make C and D.
Then upgrade these with retail copies of wow.
Then from either C or D's account management, send an RAF invite to yourself.
Use the code to create E.
And then upgrade it with a retail copy of wow.

Because there are two links in your chain...
    B -- C -- E.
You'd ideally want to boost a multiple of four toons.
    Boost 4, Boost 8 etc.
For the granted levels to cascade into full toons.

If you boost 4 toons with A.
    You end up with:
    B x4 (Boosted) + x2 (Granted from C) + x2 (Granted from D) + x1 (Granted from C, based on the levels which were granted from E).
    C x4 (Boosted) + x2 (Granted from E)
    D x4 (Boosted)
    E x4 (Boosted)

    Totals: B x9, C x6, D x4, E x4 = 23 toons, from boosting four sets of four.

It doesn't really matter which toons are receiving the boosting.
The DK will plow through everything to at least the mid 60's instances.

Certain combinations are better then others, to work as a team.

4x Shaman or 4x Druid, will run quite well with a DK tank, for PvE.
In the shammies case, I'd run 4x Elemental.
In the druids cast, probably 1x Resto and 3x Feral or Balance take your pick.
4x Ret Paladins along with your existing DK is a strong PvE/PvP team.

If you specifically want 4x Druids, 4x Shaman and 4x two other comps.
I'd go 4x Ret for one of the two.
And probably a mixed team for the others.
Although 4x Disc Priest, 4x Hunters and 4x Warlocks would all be quite fun (have all of these).
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

Ualaa, your answer is just great! Many tnx for such interesting answer regarding invite friend system!

But now I have few more questions:

    1. I still need answer what build & glyphs are best for DK tank to boost. (many aoe)

    2. Can I use one email for all 5 accounts? Is OK to invite myself as a friend?

    3. Maybe you made some mistakes when level up your toons? & Can share this experience to prevent me to do same?
    This question is optional ofc

    1. I don't know a Death Knight well enough to comment. You could try a site like www.talentchic.com, for the most popular (talents, glyphs, enchants, gems) for each spec of every class. Not saying the top Unholy PvE build is an AoE/Boosting build, but whether Blood or Unholy you have the most popular builds based on parsing the armory.

    2. You can send yourself RAF invites. I believe you can have 5 out at once, per account. And as the invites are used, you can send more out. I would personally put each wow on its own Battle.Net account. Which is a bonus if you are going to use an authenticator (definitely get a single authenticator or the iphone application, and use it for all your accounts). If you put the accounts on a single B.Net, they will be easier to manage, if you spread them across 5 B.Nets, you can log them in simultaneously with one code instead of across 3 minutes.

    3. Not sure mistakes exactly. Everything I leveled were classes I considered as fun options. I leveled Priests and Hunters, which I did not end up playing past 60th; although both seem like they could be fun down the road. I did not level Warlocks or a melee team, and am in the process of 4x Warlock + 1x Priest (my only horde team) and am considering a melee team strongly. Pretty much, not leveling as many teams for multiple options during RAF was my "mistake" if you call it that. I did Shammies, Druids, Priests, Hunters. Did not do a Melee team (and 2-3 are interesting now), Mages or Warlocks. And I quit RAF leveling with a little over 6 weeks remaining (started on 60+ levels).
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

Juct check that I get you right. You stop to boost new toons & start 60+ lvls. There is no rule like "if one char on account become 60+ = RAF exp is over" ? )

    tnx for your answers

p.s. Anyone have experience of boosting with DK tank with different builds? Maybe you can share... it's not PvE build.. it's boosting build

If you wanted, you could level 10 toons to 60th on server A.
And then another 10 toons to 60th on server B.

Well, with granted levels, you wouldn't want to level 10 toons on any server.

But the point is, you could level a lot of toons during RAF.
Playing casually, at a week per 1-60th.
12 sets of toons, across the servers you play on, should be doable.

I'd personally recommend.. 2 or 3 caster teams, 2 or 3 melee teams, and 1-2 mixed teams.
Just to give yourself a lot of options down the road.

You could boost with the DK..
    And do:
    4x Shaman
    4x Druid
    4x Mage
    4x Priest
    4x Paladin
    4x Rogue
Or whatever classes you think will be fun to play.
And I suppose it depends on how much time you have to play too.

    RAF lasts the 3 months.
Doesn't matter how many or how few toons you level.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.
