    Default constant disconnects

i am running a 5 box with 4 wows running on one quad core machine and one wow running on my main machine. I have a 20meg down 2 meg up connect and i am using a linksys router with tomato 1.25 on it. I think i have all the ports forwarded correctly from both machines but what happens is that all 5 wows will dc at the same time and my cable modem will reset. I am running all 4 wows on the one machine out of a single folder as I am with the one instance on the other machine. The only thing i can think of is that the router is being overloaded in some way. Any ideas? The disconnects are driving me nuts. When I am in an instance and I dc and the modem resets it will disband my group upon relogin and then even after i reinvite my toons the game kicks me back to a graveyard for not being in this "group's" instance. Any help would be awesome.

Is the 'modem' a usb device direct connect or actually a router and modem?

Wow uses insignificant bandwidth to call it 'overloaded', the spikes are when character load and when zoning, but those are pretty mute if your not in a full raid or similar.

I would look to why your running cache\wdb\* shared for all the accounts, but if you say the modem is actually resetting I assume heat or whatever is hurting it.

My modem rarely but occasionally resets.
    I'd guess heat as well.

When it happens, each wow disconnects at the same time.
It sounds like the same issue.

I bought a new rig and had the exact same issues (earlier when I 5 boxed on 2 PCs this never happened). I went into the NIC configuration and disabled all the checksum offload settings. Somehow this seems to have solved the problems.

I never really had an issue when i used a netgear router but I switched to the linksys for the very fact that i could use custom firmware and make it a superior product. I've had the particular modem i am using moto 5100sb for almost 5 years. it's weird that it would just reset like that when i play wow. I can upload at 200kB all day and night with utorrent and the modem would rarely reset but it did sometimes. I am getting a new docsis 3.0 modem soon to replace it because where i live we are getting 60meg down and 4 meg up service soon but its only docsis 3.0 compatible. i'll try disabling the checksums like you did and see what happens. thanks
