Default Will 2 piece tier 10 make a huge difference in Ret Pallys?

I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about this. For those of you who do not know what the tier bonus is... your melee attacks have a 40% chance to reset cooldown on divine storm now i'm not sure if this is purely autoattacks or if it is also special abilities but it seems that if these are procing in succession (not sure if there is an internal cd) that the extra burst you can possibly get is quite a bit.

So i guess what i'm curious about is the opinions on what this will do to ret PVP. To me personally it seems not quite game breaking but certainly close to what the old burst was before they nerfed ret to the ground. I mean if it works off of special attacks you can get about 6 attacks in ~10 seconds (3x autoattacks, 2x crusader strike, 1x divine storm) so you have a damn good chance that you could have divine storm up quite literally every ~4 seconds opposed to it's 10 second cooldown. This is also achievable just by doing VOA and not any significant raiding. This is also only at a loss of about 100 resilience and 70 stamina... but you gain that ability (reset cooldown) and more crit as well as some haste.

I don't know but to me it seems a bit overpowered. I'm leveling paladins next anyway so i'm not concerned i'm rather excited... but seriously?

Certainly it is a good. Overpowered? probably not. The problem with rets are not that they don't have enough burst. They do. The problem with them is that they sometimes, don't get to hit at all. Anything stand close to me will die in under 3 seconds. People knows this. They bubble early, use pain surpession early, BOP early. This is different than the shaman instant lava burst focus kill. People all know what rets can do in close melee range so they run like no tomorrow.

After playing a few more arena matches this week, i gotta pretty good sense of how to play these rets. You really have to be good a DK to play this team. It is when you use deathgrip, strangulate, and hungering cold, those will determine the outcome of the matches. Rets are nothing but face roll machines (except the blood elf AOE slience, I can honestly say this is best racial for paladins. I won a few matches by putting AOE slience in my burst rotation. Landed me a few kills)

Speaking for 2 pieces of T10, I think it is good. We all should get it. 120 Frost badge is not too bad (shoulder + glove). Do the daily everyday and weekly. You will get like 19 per week. So it is about 6+ weeks.

I only have it on one paladin right now as he did some ICC10/25...so the others are still about 2 weeks away. In it's current implementation it has a 40% chance to activate on auto-attack swings and seal of command procs with no internal cooldown. So, even vs single targets you have 2 40% chances to activate it per swing. Basically in PVE, when you are clearing packs with SoC of trash you can literly just spam divine storm constantly, you just cast judgements to keep your manapool up. in ICC25 I went from doing about 7-8k dps on trash to 15k...and im in mostly PVP gear. in PVE this has to be the most overpowered set bonus ever right now, I would definitly expect it to be changed in the near future, at the very least they will remove SoC ability to proc it. If im wrong, hey no worries...i'll be the happeist paladin ever

If your 4x ret team had this set, I bet you could clear all heroic ICC5 instances without ever casting a flash heal...unless you really wanted to (ill confirm this in ~2k weeks). As for 5v5, I think it will be good, mabey not game breaking but it will be good for sure (the real advantage being the extra healing generated from divine storms). Most 5s teams are ranged/kiter heavy so the advantage of the set is smaller here, and if your lucky enought o get paired against a melee team you will dominate them so hard they will stop queing after the first loss. Also you will not be able to capitilize on the bonus as much if your using SoR over SoC

Seal of command procs reset DS too ?~~ Did I just make a huge mistake by exchanges some of badges to Primordial Saronite lol.

Yes it does, but I *believe* it's only on SoC procs which originate from auto swings. The set bonus is beyond overpowered and I would expect a nerf or change of some sort

Not saying you would, but if this is true and your DS is worth using SOC in 5's (which i doubt) you'd have 6ish chances per cooldown time to get your cooldown refreshed... thats kinda retarded.
