Default Don't need virtual config.wtf files... options?

I'm mainly looking for a way to enable me to run which WoW.exe I want to for each character.

My main I have on one HDD, and my slaves all each have their own symlinked folders on another HDD..

I simply cannot find a way to allow me to run them from where I want to. And I have no clue as to where they are running from when they do haha.

You can configure game profiles via the right click menu from the IS taskbar tray icon. In there you can edit and create more profiles using as many WoW installs as you would like to. This has been discussed before though...multiple WoW folders hurt performance due to disk caching.

The only real advantage to multiple folders is different configuration options per folder.

With the virtual config files (or virtual addon.lua files if you want a per character version for those too), you have all of the benefits of multiple folders, without any of the headaches. With IS Boxer, I really don't see a reason to have more then one folder.

Is there another reason for multiple folders?

That's true... But by default ISBoxer launched WoW from a
WoW installation on an old HDD. So I had to change that anyways.

Through the configuration option (right click on the IS icon in the system tray), you can change the default path to whatever you want.

I would suggest one wow install, with the configuration pointing to the install you want to run wow from.
Then get rid of the others, as symlinks don't provide any advantage over virtual files.
You can copy the Saved Variables for accounts and/or characters to the one wow you are keeping, to retain the settings you had for each toon.

If you really want to run multiple wow folders, you can "add a game" to IS Boxer.
Each game added will be warcraft, but don't go with the default profile (that will be one of your folders).
Instead have each folder be its own profile.

Honestly, I'd merge the folders into a single folder.
And run IS Boxer from the one executable.
And create virtual files for each toon inside the IS Boxer Toolkit.
