Default ATI HD 3870 Flicker while running more than 1 WoW?

    heya

Just bought a new system and I chose ATI and AMD setup for the various Multimedia applications I also have to run on my workstation, but when i run multiple WoWs on my machine, the screens flicker randomly and the video really goes to shit.

    any idea?

dx9 is installed, the video card drivers are updated, etc etc

has anyone experienced this? its ONLY when I run more than one WoW. which makes the last couple levels to 70 REALLY difficult LOL.

I'd guess ATI HD 3870, but I could be wrong.

Erm, Can you be more descriptive than flickering? Does it happen on both clients or just on one?

Is this two WoW's on the same monitor?

    Sapphire ATI HD3870 512mb

Iam running 4 WoWs and anything over one window and they all go crazy, glitches in textures, things in WoW will disappear and reappear (tents, buildings, backgrounds, characters, totems etc)

About once every 5 minutes the screen on one or more WoWs will be replaced with the color of a background matte in the area and not show anything, but items, NPCs and the game are still interactable (I can still lot, talk etc)

EDIT: Yes, all 4 WoW on one monitor, works perfect on my friends setup, and im regrettting getting an ATI / AMD setup, ..

Sounds a bit like my own problem, however, if you are still able to keep on playing while getting graphical issues, then it might also be a overheating issue. What temps are you running?

If it were an overheating issue it wouldn't manifest on just one instance.

This could be faulty video memory, I would suggest running something along the lines of a stress test on the card and see if it freaks out when pushed...

I would wager 3dmark would push it hard enough to duplicate issues.

Yah, it was an overheating issue, It was running ridiculously hot and definatly caused all my PC problems. i went out and did the sensible thing, bought a new 8800 GTS =)
