    Default Thinking of ten boxing...

5 has been fun, across my two old 939 mb PC's, but I am getting the parts for a quadcore tomorrow (crosses fingers). This will give me three PC's now. I use Keyclone, (thanks Rob). And I did enjoy ISboxer also.

    But that is just minutia...

    I normally run either 5x paladins, 1xPally 4x shamans, 5xshamans, or 1x warrior 4 shamans.

Most are at 80 or close to it. looking towards mechanics later in the game, I have the two tanks ready. 3x shamans is able to go also. that leaves me the next 5 accounts. not wanting to transfer toons etc. what should I use?

I've been tossing the idea around between a few locks and a few mages. Then I remembered Hearing Keyclone one night on the phone saying he was trying 5 priests.

For you guys who do 10 man, can you let me know what your group composition is? mind you, I am so used to using one or two button macros as /click is off given my sat. con.

If it helps, here is my Monitor set up...
    PC1___________________________ PC2____________________ PC3
    [account1] [account 2] ____________ Account 5_______________ [account 7] [account 8]
    [account3] [account 4]____________ Account 6 ________________[account 9] [account 10]

The monitors on the far left and right are 19" widescreens 1440x900

The middle one is 1600x1920 Portrait mode.

was thinking Priest on 6, main tank on 5. This allows me fast heals, if need be, But I also have the Belkin n52E that I can hot key for heals based on each toons name.

anyways, I would appreciate any insight, or what works for you with Group composition.

This group is my setup, the group 3/4 are dual spec options. Rarely does anything really need mutliple healers and the shaman can oh fix most problems.

Oh I like that HPAVC. esp. having the choice between DPS on the Priest/Druid.

One arcane and Destruction or Mage/lock. I an see how that works, esp. with the shamans.

Thanks man, I'll play around with this over the weekend. I'll try a few trial accounts just to see how everything goes.

You might pop into Magtheridon some time and see if Oathbreaker is on. He's been 10-boxing Warlocks (8 locks + 2 priest, I think) for quite a while (assuming he still is, I've been on hiatus from WoW for about a year now).

i was ten boxing until ulduar came out. the new raid instances have lots of movement intensive bosses so it didnt seem worth it to continue.

Oathbreaker, that name sounds familiar, I might just do that, thanks Ugh.

Yeah movement intensive bosses are one of the challenges I am looking forward too/Hating to do, depending on the time of day lol.

You are so right. If its late in the evening I often tend to do easy stuff. Where as if its early I tweak my setup, experiment with stuff etc.

    my current setup is

    http://raidcomp.mmo-champion.com/?c=...00000000000000

I have offspec for a Shaman just in case I need a 3rd healer. This is rare as 2 healers usually are enough for me. I prefer at least 2 though as one healer focuses on tank while the other focuses on spot healing. I have found that their are rare encounters that actually require you to have an OT. I've done some of the BC raids (to a complete clear) with this setup and am currently working on gearing for Wotlk content Naxx, OS etc. I enjoy the challenge of doing my own raids but there definetly is a huge learning curve as you need different macros for each encounter in order for it to work. I haven't gotten to Ulduar yet so I don't know how difficult it will be in future content.

if you plan on doing your own raids, I think Karazhan is a really good start. I think it took about 3-4 tries before I get the hang of it but it gets you used to the idea of 10 boxing.
