    Default Wanted: Outland leveling opinions

So my shamans are about to hit 60 and I was wondering if you guys think it would be faster to us them as one team and lvl all 5 of them at once, mostly with quests, or if it would be faster to split them up and lvl 2 or 3 at a time with my prot pally and possibly even my mage or DK running them through the quests and dungeons then start over with the second group? No matter how they get leveled, the band will be reunited come lvl 80.

if you have 5 alts at lvl 60 level them all at the same time to 80.
this is WAAAY faster than boosting 60-80 two times.

lvl 60-70 is still quite fast, just quest grind your ass off.
use a quest addon (carbonite is my favorite) and just blast trough all of them
when you hit 68 head to northrend and continue the quest grinding.

if you want you can queue AV inbetween quests after lvl 60 if you like to get some pvp experience while still getting xp.

Cool. Thx for the response. And I should have said in the first post but I was meaning to boost 60 - 70 then start over with the second group. And then lvl them all together from 70 - 80. My bad.

With the huge nerfs to the required experience for 60-70, I would definitely quest if you're doing a full 5-man group. You can bypass a lot more of the drop/pickup quests in Outland now and still hit 70 by Nagrand/Blade's Edge.

Well if nessingwary's quests in STV are any indication, Im gonna like those quests in Outland and Northrend. I did not know they nerfed the xp requirements tho. That makes me happy.

Go to the new users and guides section and look for the outland leveling guide. Ive got several posts of quest lists that will have you 70 in record time if your alliance.

Also if like me you hadn't done them in a while; I was intending to skip the nagrand safari quest because last time I did them it was 30 kills each and after doing it many times I sweared to myself "no more", but they nerfed it to 12 kills so it's a lot of xp fast ! do those !

I just got my 5 priests to 68 doing hfp, zang and nagrand and a handful of AVs and instances: questing was fastest xp (but the other 2 were fun)

Yep, quite a few outland quests had their number of quest items or kills required reduced, or drop rates increased - which makes them quite a bit easier for boxers. 'A Rare Bean' now only requires 8 quest items (used to be 12 or 15 I think). Gotta love quests that make you sift through poop.

    Cheers,

I'm in a slightly different situation; I used RaF to boost my two lowest level alts to 60, then granted the resulting 60 levels across 5 more characters to take them to 60 as well. So I've got a LOT of Outland in my future.

I've got 7 characters in the 60-61 range on the main account. I've got a paladin and a druid at 60 on the second account, and I'm considering adding a death knight. So far, I've got cloth and plate heirlooms for the 20% xp bonus, but only on the main account.

It seems counterproductive to not level the characters on the second account, so I'm debating the best way to do it. I was thinking about pairing them up through HFP, then when the first character outran the secondary, switching to a new primary and doing HFP again. I figure if I only do kill XP the first time through and grab quests on the second, and repeat this process zone by zone, it should more or less work out. My prot warrior doesn't really seem to need a pocket tank/healer, so if I end up soloing one character through Outland/Northrend, I'd say he's the one.

If I happen to level past a zone, I'll drop the secondary character and finish with the primary solo - no point in lowered kill XP if the second character isn't benefitting.

Make sense? Or is there a better way to do this?
