Monitor setup

My current monitor setup is a 20" for my master and a 19" split between my 4 slaves.

Now I want something bigger, and would like some input on what to get:

Either thinking about using the 20" as the slave monitor and getting a bigger master monitor, or getting 2 new monitors.

In any case, is 24" big enough, or a bit small? What are your experiences with bigger monitors, and which brands/models are good?

I just picked up an ACER x233h and it's amazing. On my nVidia Reference 9800GT with 512 ram, I can run my main at 1920X1080 and four slaves on my 17" Acer at 1280X1024.

For $160, the 23" Acer widescreen is 5ms, with full 1080P. Simply cannot be beat.

Honestly it all comes down to preference.

My preference is to be able to read the type on each client. That said, the ideal setup for me would be 4 high resolution SQUARE monitors for the slaves and 1 high resolution widescreen for the main.

You can rotate two wide screens 90 degrees to get 4 square screens. That means 3 24" monitors. 2 of them rotated to get 4 square regions for the slaves and 1 widescreen for the main.

You might add another monitor just for communication and browsing that also has a TV/blue ray ports so you can watch movies while waiting for the boss mob to die.
