Can't beat "Shade of Eranikus" [final boss @ Sunke

I had problems with this fight as well. I managed to kill him twice but both times was touch and go.

My setup is Pally, Priest, Mage, Warlock, Hunter.

The 1st attempt my pally went in first and got chain slept. Disaster.

2nd attempt I sent in the hunter pet first and Eranikus didn't sleep the pet at all. Don't know if animals are immune. So the pet tanked him until the pet died. And then he chain slept the pally. I think by this time he was low enough that I managed to finish him off even though I lost a few members.

Can't remember what I did on the last attempt but I think it went better. By then I was 52 as well and the pally mitigated enough for the priest to stay low on aggro. I think the pally still got slept but now he went to munch on the lock or the mage and the priest could heal in peace while I just DPSed the crap out of him to take him down as quick as possible. I think the hunter pet tanked for a while too lol. Chaotic fight.

Oh my god, what an annoying boss!

I tried the method of having one of my clones walk into melee range (and made sure she was standing closest and meleeing him) but out of about 20-30 sleeps dished out over the course of 4 wipes only one went onto this sacrificial mage, the rest were aimed at the paladin.

In the end I downed him by using a little trick I save up for hard situations: Pyrobast from max range, followed up by a fireball while beginning to build agro on my tank. As soon as the fireball was cast I iceblocked the 3 mages and continued building agro on the pala. I may have just been lucky, but I didnt get sleeped until after the mages ice blocks had worn off and they had snapped off another 2 fire balls. By that stage he was on about 5% and on fire went down super fast.

Toons with pets do not have this problem hunter pet, Lock pet etc. never have prooblems this way. Can't remember if if worked but I think pvp trinket gets you out of this once in 5 min. it costs 1600 or 1800 honor and is worth it if you do bgs also

pally tank 3 fire mages shammy...... I used my mage and chain healed him when the pally got slept... grp was lvl 49 pally got slept 1 time before era died (used taunt after sleep wore off and held dps for a few secs) .. must have been oor for the grnding totem or something since sleep landed on pally

-- also have done this with 3 hunters pally and priest ... pets tanked during sleeps and I chain healed pet also lvl 48 or 49
