The game of pool is racist!

After all, the game is only won when the WHITE ball has knocked all the COLOURED balls of the green table (which obviously represents the Earth)!!

See what I did there? It's easy to take a ridiculous conclusion and twist facts to support it...

If you think Avatar is an allegory for white supremacy, you're reading too much into it.

I loved the movie. I expected a fantasy/action/romance movie and I got it. Amasing with the 3d effects!

    Definetly worth seeing!

It's fascinating how the audience here compares to other audiences. A movie that can be characterised by the phrase 'what these people need is a honky' and is an exact match for the well known 'mighty whitey' trope is said to be a ridiculous misinterpretation.

So if Will Smith or Jamie Foxx had been cast into the role of Jake Sully, everything would be fine?

Sounds to me like another case of pseudo-intellectual racism watchdogs continuing their witch-hunt, but then that was kind of to be expected with an article titled "When Will White People Stop Making Movies Like "Avatar".

Welcome to the new age of McCarthyism.

I'm seeing Avatar tonight. I've seen it before but wanted the gf to go and I definitely don't mind watching this flick a second time. She's not a fan of fantasy movies or anything related, so I'm not sure if she'll enjoy it.

Saw it last weekend. It had good special effects and some nice action scenes. The colonel dude (whatever his rank was) was badass. Giovanni Ribisi was great.

However, the movie was far too long, and was super predictable (i.e. only 5 people have ever ridden one of these! wow gee, who will be the next?). The 3d effects were not that great.

    I'd give it a 6/10.

I didn't notice any political whateveryouwanttocallit in the movie. I guess I'm just one of those people who go to watch them for enjoyment.
