    Default i5 670 or i7 870

After getting alot of help, both here on forum and in the guild, i was finally ready to order my new pc today.

BUT ... the salesman confused me alot and now i dont know what processor to choose.

    I was going for a

    Intel Core i7-prosessor 870 (2,93 GHz, 8 MB)

but he said it would be better with

    Intel Core i5-prosessor 670 (3,46 GHz, 4 MB)

He said something about wow not using 4 cores or something, and that the dual i5 with higher GHz would be better for boxing..sigh, is this true? What would u guys do?

I would really appreciate some input, im kinda lost atm =)

A single WoW doesn't benefit very much from more than two cores, but if you're running a bunch of WoWs, then absolutely, definitely, no question, you want a quad core.

You'll need to set your WoWs' affinity to make them take advantage of all four (or eight logical) cores because WoW limits itself to cores 0 and 1 by default.

I wouldn't waste money on an i-870. Assuming you're multiboxing, get either an i5-750, i7-860, or i7-920, depending on how much you want to spend and whether you'll be running multiple graphics cards.
