Default Need some help picking a honeymoon destination.

    The subject says it all.

My fiance and I are having no luck, we were looking at Ireland, but that looks more like a retirement getaway than anything.

So let me know where you've been and how it was.

Also if anyone has been to Cabo or Punta Cana, I would like to know how they are as well.

How about a list of what kind of stuff you'd like?

If you like nature and relaxing, Hawaii is great. Lived there 25 years and would go back to visit anytime.

when are you thinking about going, and what do you want to do (besides the obvious)

france is pretty cool just depends when your thinking of going.

Looking at mid-late Sept, I'm open for anything other than cruises...It's like hell for me, stuck on a ship full of people that you probably can't stand...

Only stipulation the fiance has is there must be a beach.

As far as what I want to do... anything, I live in Wisconsin, seriously our summer is like a month long, anything would be a welcome change.

    this one is easy:

Caneel bay on St. Johns in the US Virgin Islands

    http://www.caneelbay.com/
    http://www.azurecollection.com/caneel_bay.htm

by far, one of the nicer places i have been. watch the timing because you are in the carribean (hurricanes possible from june to oct... none to speak of for the last 2 years, though). cost is moderate ($200-300/night/person) but low compared to NYC hotel prices.

St Thomas is right there, which i believe has gambling if you are so inclined. glass bottom boats, scuba, steel drum bands... and your villa is on the sand. just... awesome

whatever you do, if you are looking to make it nice... you cannot go wrong with the Rosewood Hotel & Resorts

the one place i wanted to try, but haven't yet... was Little Dix Bay on the British Virgin Islands, also a Rosewood location

That place depicted in the lowest of Keyclones images... best place to go IMO... no beach though.

If you like Mountains and that kind of scenery I suggest you take a look at Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. Its one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Expensive but well worth it, and in Mid-Late September should still be warm. Check it out on google you might find its the thing for you.

Pick a Cruise of any type. With a wedding it's so much stress involved (just got married a little over a year ago).

Having a cruise makes it so easy, you don't have to worry about food / traveling / hotels / entertainment. It's all there and you can enjoy it whenever you want during the duration.
