Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it"
This thread, also youtube 'jousting Toc'.
Not that i'm good at it myself, it's just where i found the info.
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!
Basically, don't try to do it like you would as a single player.
It works best if you pile up your guys and don't move.
Not sure, but I think you need to be decently geared even for normal. I made it through the mounted stuff after some trial and error, but once I had to fight the 3 people I was decimated.
The poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
And the circling is worth it,
Finding beauty in the dissonance
When I run ToC with my girlfriend's hunter subbing for a warlock, I have to keep reminding her, "please bring them back here, I can't move." She plays like a single player, charging and jumping around and dragging aggro all over the place, while I -- all four of me -- stay put until I absolutely have to shift. If you're boxing this, you have to play it in a specific way, or it doesn't work so well.
Am I the only one who looks forward to taking down the last champion with a Charge just because, at that point, it's actually practical?
The champions, once dismounted, are pretty tough cookies. This is kind of like the jump in difficulty between basic BC and Magister's Terrace -- you have to be in the ballpark of running WotLK heroics before you can expect to survive regular ToC.

The YouTube vids lay it out pretty well - after running it solo, MBing it looks easier - my pug was running all over the place during the jousting, it looked so inefficient!![]()

I got normal on farm now. Just the jousting at the start that is annoying, the rest I clear very easily. I got through the jousting only once without losing anyone. Easy epics make up for the deaths.
I get destroyed in the jousting on heroic though /sigh, more practice I suppose.

I ran TOC 5 man heroic again after 3.3 release. It seems like they changed the jousting part on 3 champions. They hit harder and focus on wolves with low HP. It might be just me. But In 3.2, the jousting part in heroic is as easy as the one in normal. Now using the old strategy where all 5 of my guys sit at 1 spot, I have to switch like 5-6 wolves on different guys to beat them. Sometimes even bubble once I am knocked out to get to the 2nd wolf. In 3.2, I barely have to switch.
Same here, regular is a faceroll on the jousting, but HC is a wipe.
Got as far as 2 guys down, and one with full hp on the mount, only 2 of my guys were alive
Is only the HP and damage of the mobs higher, or is there something else different?
