SSD Partially Visible.

I received a 64gb Patriot Torqx SSD for Christmas this year.

The model number is: PFZ64GS25SSDR.

I can see the drive in Bios and in Device Manager, but it does not show up under My Computer. I'm not really sure where to go from here. I started a thread on the manufacturers tech forum, but there are a lot of fairly knowledgeable people here too.

I'm running Vista 64-bit, Home Premium.

1. Start menu, right-click Computer and select Manage.
2. In the left pane, select Disk Management.
3. Find your SSD and format it.
4. It will then show up as a drive in My Computer.

Found the SSD under Disk Management.
There doesn't appear to be an option to format.

It says:

Disk 0 (C:)

Right Clicking on Disk 0 gives me the options:
Open, Explore, Change Drive Letter and Path, Shrink Volume, Properties and Help.

Right Clicking on Disk 1 gives me the options:
Open, Explore, Mark Partition as Active, Change Drive Letter and Path, Format, Extend Volume, Shrink Volume, Delete Volume, Properties and Help.

Right Clicking on Disk 2 gives me the options:
New Simple Volume, Properties and Help.

I would try reassigning a new letter to partition D: (maybe Z: ) and see if that makes the partition show up in Explorer. If that works, I'd reassign C: to C:. and change Z: back to D:.

(I'd be cautious with C: since I assume you're booting from it..

C and D, are my existing drives; booting from C.
There is no drive letter for the SSD (Disk 2).

New Simple Volume, opens a wizard.
Have basically left everything to the default settings.
And it is formatting now.

Oops, no need to thank me since my advice was 100% useless! I didn't look at the numbers -- my bad. (I thought you had already booted from the SSD.)

I've copied the entire wow folder (copy + paste) to the new SSD, which is F Drive on my system.

Will there be any issues patching, to a non: C:\Public folder, for Vista (64-bit, Home Premium)?

The biggest I had was my symbolic links kept disappearing after patches. I then made a batch file to run after patching to remake them.

The game patched fine, I just lost the symbolic links.

Ah, yeah, forgot about the volume creation step that might show up. Glad you got past that!
