5 druids, level 62, all feral spec, all have crap quest greens - feral gear for 4 of them, healing gear for 1, tried running ramps with bear tank, 3 feral dps, and nostance healer just using regrowth. Took forever and died a lot to get to first boss, then maybe got him down to 60% or so. Having trouble coordinating so tank gets aggro, I think that is the main problem really. Not sure what to try next. I am not interested in casting in general for leveling as running out of mana will just slow things down. I think if I could keep aggro the healer could keep up fine, sometimes though I make everyone heal the tank if healer dies.
I tried copying my macros from the leader to all (to simplify setup) and designing things to work around that but it just isn't working out.
FTL does not work well in the instance either. It seems like I need a harcoded setup for dungeons. It bugs out and starts giving unknown unit or something like that, I can't remember the exact error. It also bugs out questing but not very often.
Melee style is ok for elites out in the world, I just run through them in bear or cat, then spin around. The mobs turn to face me and the other guys can attack from behind it. Things get too crazy with the adds in instances though, like even when I root stuff I feel like I can't get everyone safely away from it without breaking the roots or getting hit by rooted mobs. The stance changing to cast the roots and then back to cat feels like an eternity too.
Did I wait too long to try instances? Should I try to have a real tank and heal spec or should I do bear and 4 moonkins? I am going to try it all out but man it takes forever to set up macros and test them and get them copied out, especially with FTL.
Oh and sometimes the bear goes into nostance for no apparent reason! Makes me crazy.
Fun stuff but after all this I am starting to wonder if instances are going to be even possible much less heroics, even with gear and spec.
Maybe I will try pally and 4 shaman or something. I need to level up some other stuff before RAF runs out anyway.
