Thread: 3v3 experience?

  1. #1

    Default 3v3 experience?

Does anyone here have experience in this bracket? My rogues recently hit 80 (teaming 4 rogues + druid atm) and since they're just for PvP anyway, I was thinking that triple-boxing might be more convenient than quad-boxing anyway.

Yes, I have experience. Yes, it is possible. Yes, you can do well. FYI- I have no experience with triple rogues.

Basically I posted letting you know there are people out there succeeding at 3s.

    /papers?
No, I will not provide a scan of my ID proving I am a real person and my teams are real. Bloodwork is out of the question also. The pvp gestapo will not get me!

I've been doing some 3v3 on mine, and yes it can work. Gratz on 80!! Rogues are VERY gear dependant.. both for killing and for survival, so keep your chin up as you gear them. It gets really fun when the gear starts rolling in.

    Here's a few tips,
    Go engineering (trust me)
Get the Darkmoon Card: Death (the 2000 shadow dmg proc)

With these 2 combined it doubles your damage on your opener.

I think I remember you having some PVE heroic teams, here's my tip for weapons. Start farming heroic ForgeOfSouls right away once a day. Use your PVE group and just bring 1 rogue along. Pretty easy run (25 mins or so) and the second boss drops a REALLY nice i232 dagger (www.wowhead.com/?item=Blood Weeper)

Have fun and let me know if you need any help!

Thanks for the encouragement - I'm grinding heroics at the moment (with my paladin and priest), and with 90% blue gear, it's quite a pain (WTS sucky 1800 dps), but it helps a little, knowing things will brighten up when gear gets better :-) At the moment my paladin is in sharp competition with rogues for top dps :-P

I already bought the trinkets (just forgot to exchange them last faire, grr...) and I'm planning on buying the level 245 craftables, since price is getting fairly low now. As for the dagger (I'm using tankards atm), I figured I'd camp blood weeper doing solo play (*gasp*) using the LFG tool once my gear is decent enough, since that will allow me 4 tries per day (one per rogue) instead of just one. My original plan was to just get heartshiver, but thanks for pointing out that nice dagger for me.

As for the engineering, I was actually thinking of alchemy + jewelcrafting (for the money). My shammies have engineering and it set me back about 6k per char to level it, damn tradeskill prices, so I'm holding out for now.

I have been playing 3s off and on for a good bit with 3 Ele Shaman. With alot of hard work....I barely broke 1100. But Im not really what you would call a good pvp'er. So i would guess 1100 would be easily obtained from someone who knows the ins and outs of all the classses.

I got up to about 1550 with 3x elemental shaman back when I was in deadly with titansteel guardians. I'm not sure how it would do now with full relentless - maybe 1800. It took a lot of games but was the easiest way to get the rating for all my relentless off-set pieces before I had a 5s healer. It's still possible to global people with only 3 shaman, especially since there are a lot less buffs and typically only one healer. RMP was the hardest to beat of course, due to all the CC, but some comps that are hard for real teams were easy for me (double healer + warrior).
