Thread: 42 starting PvP

  1. #1

    Default 42 starting PvP

Im 42 and just starting BGs

I'm thinking of grinding bg all the way to 60 and possibly beyond what I'm wondering is should i be looking to get the 60 epic pvp set or more focused on saving honor and tokens for later lvls

And as a side note if i do go to 60 ill be in the same gear i have now so WTF to do then.
Looks like if i don't take the 60 set im back to grinding dungeons for gear or ill get owned every bg
Hell if I go to 60 ill get owned all the way there because my shit gear i have now with no upgrades till then ill be low geared all the way

    What to do?
    Suggestions!!

Save your honor and badges for 80 IMO.

At lvl 58, you can head to Hellfire Peninsula and complete the quests to upgrade your gear and get the PvP trinket. You can also do he same at 68 with the quests in Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord.

In between you can jump out of BG's at any time to upgrade your gear if necessary (e.g. Ring of Blood at lvl 65 for a decent weapon upgrade).

Most people doing BG's to level are going to be similarly geared to you, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

    Cheers,

Yeah, just find out some quick and easy quest rewards every 5 levels or so (every 10 levels maybe?) and do those inbetween BGs. Do a couple dungeons at level with the new dungeon finder system for some blues, and youll probably dominate in bgs.

It also depends, if this is your first/highest team, or if you have another team to support you.
You have multiple toons, so even with worse gear, you'll put out competitive damage because of focus fire.

You could purchase some of the pvp gear from level 60 and level 70, if you want.
Or just purchase level 80 gear, as you approach honor cap each time.

Honestly in 2-3 days of doing AV at lvl 80 i have acquired as much honor as i did from 65 to 80, with about the same rate of AV's per day. So myself i gonna use my honor in the future on my alt teams to get stuff that really gives me a boost.
